In the name of God Amen The fower and twentieths day of Aprill in the yeare of our Lord God one thowsand five hundreth fower score and fiftene [1595]
I William Elnor of the p[ar]ishe of Wingham in the County of kente yeoman beinge in good helthe and p[er]fecte remembraunce (praised be God therefore) make my will and testament in forme as followeth (that is to saye)
First I comend my soule unto Almighty God my maker, most stedfastly trustinge to be saved and to inherite the kingdome of heaven by the death and passion of my lorde and only Saviour Jesus Christ and by no other meanes. And my will is that after my death my Bodye to be decently buried in Christian buriall in hope of the resurrection thereof to eternall life

Item I will give and bequeath unto Alice my daughter thirteene shillings & foure pence of lawfull money of England and no more in consideracon I have already advanced her in marriage
Item I will give and bequeath unto Dorothie my daughter thirteene shillings & foure pence of lawfull money of England and no more in consideracon I have already advanced her in marriage

Item I give unto Margaret Mote my Wive’s goddaughter twenty shillings of lawfull money of England to be paid her at her day of marriage
Item I give unto Christian my sister two bushell of wheate and two bushell of malte

All the residue of my go[o]ds & Cattelles & Chattelles whatsoever not given nor bequeathed, my debts and legacies paid, I give and bequeath unto David Elnor my sonne Whome I make sole executor of this my last will and testament

This is the last will and testament of me the said William Elnor by me made and p[er]sonally declared the daye and yeare first above written, Concerninge the disposinge of my lands and ten[emen]ts in the p[ar]ishes of Wingha[m], Goodnestone and Staple ??? where ??

Item I doe will, give and bequeth all my said ten'ts and lands unto David Elnor my sonne, To be had and holden to him and to his heires and assignes foever

In Wittnes that this is my true and last will and testament, I the said William Elnor have hereunto sett my hand and seale dated the day and yeare first above written
