In the Name of God Amen
I Thomas Everden of Boxley in the County of Kent labourer (duly considering that it is appointed for all Men once to die and being mindfull of the uncertainty of that great change when it shall please God to call me hence) Do make this my last Will and Testament of and concerning the Real and Personal Estates whereof I am in any wise seized or possessed either in possession or reversion, or any other Person or Persons in Trust for me or which I have any power to dispose of as follows.

First I give and devise unto my Cousin Thomas Howell of Lydd in the said County of Kent Yeoman All that Messuage or Tenement with two stables thereunto belonging one garden and one close or piece or parcell of Land containing by admeasurement half an acre little more or less thereunto also belonging and appertaining which said Messuage or tenement Hereditaments and premises are situate and being in the Town of Lydd aforesaid and now in the tenure or occupation of William Fagg labourer his assigns or undertenants To hold the said Messuage or tenement hereditaments and premises unto the said Thomas Howell and his Assigns for the Term of his natural Life (he keeping the same in good tenantable repair)
And from and after his Decease I give and devise the said Messuage or tenement hereditaments and premises unto David Howell (son of the said Thomas Howell) to hold to him the said David Howell and his Heirs for ever.

And as to and for and Concerning all and singular my Goods Chattells and Personal Estate whatsoever of what Nature kind or quality soever after payment of my just Debts and Funeral Expences I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto and among all the Rest of the children of the said Thomas Howell (that shall be born in lawfull wedlock) Equally to be divided among them, if more than one share and share alike

And I do hereby direct that in case any one or more of the rest of my (sic) said children shall dye before they attain the age of twenty one years that the part or share parts or shares of him her or them so dying shall go to the survivors or survivor of the rest of my said Children in equal shares and to his her and their executors and administrators absolutely for ever.

And I do hereby nominate and appoint my friends Stephen Terry and Edward Shepherd both of Lydd Guardians for and on behalf of such of the Children of the said Thomas Howell as shall be under the age of twenty one years at the time of my decease in confidence that they will apply and dispose of the parts and shares of such minors of and in my said Estates according to the directions of this my Will and to their best advantage

And I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint the said Stephen Terry and Edward Shepherd Executors of this my last Will and Testament
And I do hereby revoke all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set and put my Hand and Seal this Twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one Thousand and seven hundred and eighty two.

Be it known that I Thomas Everden of the Parish of Boxley in the County of Kent do this fifteenth day of August one Thousand seven hundred and Eighty Seven make this Codisell to my said Will Dated the 27 of December 1782 and do make it Part of the same

and by this Codisell do give and devise Unto Bridgland Orman grandson of ye Widow Bridgland of Boxley the sum of Forty pounds to be paid him in six months after my decease by my Executors Mr Stephen Terry and Edwd Shephard

I likewise give and devise unto William Stanford son of William Stanford of Boxley the sum of Thirty pounds to be paid him in six months after my decease by my said Executors

I likewise give unto Moses Bridgland of Boxley all that my wearing aparail Linnen and wooll and of all sorts Plate &c.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand and seal the day and year first above written in the presence of

I give and bequeth unto my friend John Andrews of Bearsted the sum of tenn pounds to be paid him in one month after my decease by my said Executors

Admon with the will annexed was granted to Thomas Howell Father and Guardian lawfully assigned to Elizabeth Howell a minor aged Eighteen years one of the Residuary legatees therein named
(Stephen Terry and Edward Shepherd the executors therein appointed having first duly renounced)
He being sworn duly to adm�r &c. for the Benefit of said minor and all others interested therein &c.
