In the name of God amen I Thomas Fagg of Folkstone in the Countie of Kent Husbandman being sick in Body but (thanks be to God) of sounde minde and memory doe make this my laste will and Testament in maner and (form) following
First I bequeath my soule to Almighty God my Creator hoping to be saved by the pretious blood shedding death and passion of Jesus Christ my saviour and redeemer in whome I beleeve And my body to be buryed in the church-yarde of Folkstone aforesayde neare unto my mother and brother, & othe(r) rest of my Kindred. Touching my worldly Goods,

First I bequeathe to my naturall brother Christopher Fagg of Folkstone aforesayd five pounds of lawfull English mony to buy him cloathes, and paye his debts due from Andrew Bartlet of Hawking(e).
Next I bequeath unto my sayd Brother Christopher Fagg, eight poundes by the yeare during his life: to be payde by my executors forty shillings the quarter to begin halfe a yeare after my decease
And after the decease of my sayd brother I bequeath unto Edward Fagg the sone of my sayd brother three pounds yearly during his life of the forenamed eight pounds, to be payd him quarterly by my Executors

Item I bequeath to Nicholas Fagg sone also of my sayd brother Christopher Fagg, the some of fifteene poundes to be payd him by my Executors three quarters of a yeare after my decease
Item I bequeath to Elizabeth Fagg daughter of my sayd brother, twenty pounde to be payde by my Executors three quarters of a yeare after my decease

Item I bequeath to my Kinsman William Fagg shoomaker, sone of my brother William deceased, the sume of five poundes to be payde him halfe a yeare after my decease
Item I bequeath to Thomas Fagg sone of my sayd brother William Fagg, sayler [sailor] fifty shillings to be payd him halfe a yeare after my decease
Item I bequeath to Elizabeth Fagg daughter of my sayd brother William Fagg, my God daughter, fifteene pounds to be payd a twelve moneth after my decease by my Executors as afore.
Item I bequeath to Susan Paramour daughter of my brother Thomas Paramour, five poundes to be payde a yeare after my decease.

Item I bequeath to William Fagg sone of my Kinsman John Fagg five pounde, to be payde by my Executors in maner & forme Following (That is to saye) seven shillings a yeare within a yeare and a halfe after my decease To his Mother Alice Miller to keepe him to schoole, and the residue of the sayd five pounds to be payde when he come to one and twenty yeares of age,
Provided that if his sayd mother shall neglect to keepe him in schoole, the sayd yearlely (sum) to be kept in the hands of my executors to the use of the sayde William Fagg

Item I bequeath to my God-daughter Wilmet Pantre daughter of (blank) Pantre of Newington (next Hythe) five pounds to be payd to her two yeares after my decease
Item I bequeath ten shillings to the poore of the parish of Folkstone to be distributed according to the discretion of my Executors within a quarter of a yeare after my decease
Item I bequeath to my loving friend Mr. Peter Rogers, Curate of Folkston, twenty shillings for a sermon at my funerall whether he or any other shall preach for me to be payde a monteth after my decease
Item I bequeath to Baker Coddam sone of Ann Coddam widdowe of Folkstone five pounds to be payde to him by his sayd mother when he shall come to the age of one and twenty yeares

For the performance of this my laste will & testament I ordayne joyntly Thomas Fagg, sone of my sayd brother Christopher Fagg, and Ann Coddam aforesayd widowe to be my full Executor and full Executrix and for all my moveables, goods or monye or whatsoever asle [else] that is mine, my Legacyes being payde to be equally divided betweene my sayd Executor and Executrix
Also I request my loving friend and Cosen John Madget of Folkstone aforesayd fisherman to be my overseer of this my laste will and testament

In Witnes whereof I have heereunto put my hand and seale September 24 1642 Thomas Y Fagg his marke
in the 18th yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraign Lord Charles King of England Scotland Fraunce & Ireland, def[end]er of the faith &c.

Notes:
Thomas Fagg, Husbandman, was buried at SS Mary & Eanswith, Folkestone on 14th October 1642.
Willmott Pantrie, d. of Arthure Pantrie, was baptised 25th September 1633 at Newington (next Hythe), Kent.
