In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Fagg now the Wife of Charles Fagg of Hythe in the County of Kent Surgeon and Apothecary late Elizabeth Batten Spinster do hereby in pursuance of a power given to and vested in me by force of and under a certain Indenture bearing date the first day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty made previous to and in consideration of the marriage between me and my dear husband the said Charles Fagg and by force and virtue of every the power and powers authority and authorities in me being or enabling me thereto make my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)

Whereas my said husband is by virtue of the said Settlement made previous to our marriage intitled during his life in case he shall survive me unto the Dividends and Interest of the several Sums of One thousand pounds East India Stock and two thousand three hundred and fifty pounds Consolidated three per cent Annuities being the Amount of the settled Property

Now I give and bequeath unto my said dear husband his Executors Administrators and Assigns the said two several Sums of One thousand pounds East India Stock and two thousand three hundred and fifty pounds Consolidated three per cent Annuities and all such Interest and dividends as shall be due and owing to me at my decease and all such other Estate (if any) that I shall die possessed of unto and for his and their own use and absolute use and benefit

subject nevertheless to the payment of the following legacies thereout (that is to say)
unto my Sister Hannah Bravant in case she shall survive my said Husband the Sum of five hundred pounds
unto my Brother William Batten the Sum of One hundred pounds
unto my friend John Lewis Cox Esquire of Red Lion Square Bloomsbury the Sum of One hundred pounds
Unto my God-daughter Jane Elizabeth Cox the Sum of One hundred pounds
unto my God Daughter Sarah Elizabeth Morrell Daughter of Mr and Mrs Morrell of Bloomsbury Square the Sum of One hundred pounds
unto my five nieces Rebecca Batten Ann Batten Ann Mackrell Ann Bell and Sarah Bell the Sum of fifty pounds each
and unto my friend Thomas Webster of Queen Street Cheapside London the Sum of fifty pounds

And it is my Will and I direct the said several legacies above mentioned to be paid free and clear of the legacy Duty
And I do nominate constitute and appoint my said dear husband and the said John Lewis Cox Executors of this my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the seventh day of June in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four Eliz: Fagg
