In the name of God Amen The xxxjth [31st] daye of January in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred and fifteene
I Anthony Farrar of the parish of Lyncksteed in the County of Kent Yeoman being the unprofitable servannt of God, weak in body but stronge in mynd doe willingly and with a free h[e]art render and give agayne into the hands of my Lord God & Creator my Spirit which he of his fatherly goodness gave unto mee when he first fashioned mee in my mothers wombe, making mee a living and a reasonable Creature, nothing doubting but that for his infinite mercyes set forth in the pretious bloud [precious blood] of his dearly beloved sonne Jesus Christ our onely Savyour and Redemer he will receive my soule into his glory and place it in the Company of the heavenly Angeles and Saincts
And as Concerning my body even with a good will and free hart I give it over Commending it to the earth where of it came to be buryed in the Church yard of the parish Church of Lyncksteed aforesaid

Now I the said Anthony Farrar doe make and declare this my last Will and Testament in writing revoaking thereby both in deed and in lawe all former Wills and Testaments
touching my land and Tenements where I have heretofore by my severall Converances bought of one Woolgate, being the house I now dwell in withall the land thereunto belonging scituate lying and being in Lyncksteed aforesaid with the Appurtenances
I give and bequeath unto Thomas Farrar of the City of Canterbury my brother Thomas Farrars sonne and to the heires of his body lawfully begotten or to be begotten and for default of such heires to revert unto the right heires of mee, the said Anthony for ever

And I doe further give to the said Thomas Farrar the sonne my Messuage or Tenement called Grayes beaing at Eritt Wood withall the Land thereunto belonging with the appurtenances lying and being in the said parish of Lyncksteed and to the heires of his body lawfully begotten or to be begotten and for default of such issue, then to the right heires of mee the said Anthony for ever

Item my Will and plaine mea[n]ing is that the said Thomas the sonne shall make, seale & dilivr [deliver] unto John Couldon th[e ]elder my Sister Jones sonne within short time after my decease a lease of the said messuage and lands called Grayes for the tearme of xxj yeares if he the said John so long shall live
And if it fortune the said John Couldson to live longer then the s[ai]d time of xxj yeares Then my will is that that said John shall have sealed unto him a new lease for terme of his life paying unto the said Thomas the sonne his heires execut[or]s, admi[n]strators & assignes one pepper corne by the yeare, yearely at the feaste of St. Michael Tharchangell at all times during the said time

Moverovr [Moreover] my Will is that the Minister and Churchwardens of the said Parish of Lyncksteed their Successors and assignes for the time being shall yearely for ev[e]r preine [price?] and take one annuall or yearely rent of xxs sterling out of that my said Messuage and lands called Grayes to be paid by the said John Couldson during his time therein unto the use of the poore? of the said parish at two feasts or Tearmes in the yeare, vid., the feast of St. Michael Thearchangell and thannunciation of our Lady, or within ten dayes, the first payment thereof to beginne at the feast of St. Michael which shall first happen after my decease

Item I give unto the said poore of the s[ai]d parish xxs to be paid by my Executor wthin one yeare after my decease yf it be demanded
Also I give unto the poore of the Parish of Doddington xs to be like-wise paid by my Executor within one moneth after my decease yf demanded

Furthermore my will is That the sd John Couldson shall yearely during his sd time at the feast of St. Michael Tharchangell pay unto William Rice, Thomason Rice, Sarah (Rice), Mary Couldson, John Couldson the Younger & Avery Couldson to every of them vjs viijd

Item I give and bequeath unto the said William Rice, Thomazine Rice, Sarah Rice, Mary Couldson, John Couldson the elder, James Hawksell and to every of them v li [£5] sterling
and to Simon Allen and John Couldson the Younger and to every of them ls [50s]
all which said somes to be paid by my Executor within one yeare & a halfe after my decease, yf like wise demanded

And yf it shall happen any ambiguity, doubt, or question to growe or arise by reason of th[e ]imp[er]fection or defect of or in any the words and Clauses, and Sentences in this my present last Will and Testament or my true intent or meaning ther[e] That then for? further and better explanacon, interpretacon and Construction of the said doubt and ambiguity, I Will that my Executor shall expound, explain & interprete according to his wisdome and good discretion

Item I give all my moveable goods unto my Executor
And lastly I doe make and ordaine him the said Thomas Farrar the sonne, sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

And yf it shall fortune any or all of the sd William Rice, Thomazine Rice, Sarah Rice, Mary Couldson, John Couldson the elder, James Hawksell, Simon Allen and John Couldson the Younger to dye, then my Will and plaine meaning is, that every of the said somes of five pounds and fifty shillings to be repayd unto my said Executor, his Executors and assignes
