In the name of God Amen I William Faulkner of the parish of Eastry in the County of Kent Yeoman being sick and weake of body, but of perfect mind and memory (praised be God for he same) do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in writing in manner and form following
First and principally I yeild my Soul into the hands of Almighty God, and my body I commend to the earth to be decently inter[re]d at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named And as touching those worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I give and devise the same as followeth

I do give and bequeath unto Sarah my dearly beloved wife during her naturall life all and every my Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever
And from and after the decease of Sarah my said wife I doe give and demise the said Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments unto my daughter Ann the wife of Charles Bellowmy of the parish of Eastrey aforesaid Fruiterer to her and her heires and assignes for ever, after payment of my debts and legacies

Also I do give and bequeath unto my sonn in law Daniel Ferris of the Town and Port of Sandwich the sume of one shilling to be paid by my Executrix within one month next after my decease
Also I do give and bequeath unto my son in Lawe Richard Sackett, Sayler the like sume of one shilling to be paid by my Executrix within one month next after my decease
Also I do give and bequeath unto my son in Lawe Charles Bellowmy abovesaid the like sume of one shilling to be paid in like manner

Also I do give and bequeath unto my grandson Daniel Feris, son of my late daughter Susanna late wife of Daneil Ferris of Sandwich aforesaid the sume of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid by my daughter Ann the wife of Charles Bellowmy aforesaid within six months next after the decease of Sarah my said Wife

Also I doe give and bequeath unto my grandaughter Sarah Sackett daughter of my late daughter Sarah, late wife of Richard Sackett abovesaid the sume of Five pounds of like money to be paid by my daughter Ann aforesaid within six months next after the decease of Sarah my said Wife

All the rest and residue of my goods and chattells of what nature soever I do give and bequeath the same unto Sarah my said wife during her naturall life and form and after the decease of Sarah my said wife I doe give and bequeath the same unto my daughter Ann aforesaid to her and (her) heires and assignes for ever, after payment of my debts and legacies

And I doe make and ordaine Sarah my said wife and my said daughter Ann joyntly Executrix(e)s of this my last will and Testament,
and I desire my friend James Keble to his utmost endeavour see this my will be fullfilled according to the true intents and meaning hereof, and to assist my Executrix(e)s herein

And my will further is that if any of the said Legatees or any person whatsoever shall commence any quarrell Suite or disturbance for or by reason of any of my goods before bequeathed that then my will is that they he or she so doing shall have no benefitt of any of my goods aforesaid any thing herein to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding

William Faulkner was buried at St. Mary the Virgin, Eastry, Kent on 12th December 1712.
Daughter Ann’s Marriage Licence entry reads: Bellamy, Charles, of Eastry, Husb. ba. 21, and Ann Fakeley [Faulkner], s.p., [same parish] spr. 26, whose father consents. At. Ewell, Eastry, Barham or St. Mildred, Canterbury. John Jasper of Cant(erbury), Innholder, bonds. June 6, 1693.
