In the Name of God Amen The Seaventeenth day of October one thousand sixe hundred Fiftie five
I John Fitch late of Pluckley in the Countie of Kent gentleman beinge sicke of bodie but of perfect memorie, Praised bee God, revokinge all fourmer wills and testaments, Doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and fourme Followinge
First I bequeath my Soule to the hands (of) the Almightie God hopinge to bee saved by the onely meritts of Jesus Christ, And my bodie to bee decently buried att the discretion of my Executor hereafter named

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my lovinge freinds Mr. Francis Nower, Mr. Richard Bunbury and William Penhellicke, Mr. John Creed and his wife to each of them five pounds apiece to buy them mourning,
to the servants and attendants that are neare about mee in my sicknes five pounds amongst them to bee distributed att the discretion of my Executor
All these Legacies to bee paid them att the time of my decease in Lawfull English money

Item I give and bequeath All my lands whatsoever and house unto Francis Fitch, sonne of my brother Daniell Fitch, to him and his heires for ever when he shall attaine to the age of one and twentie yeares
And in case hee dye before that age to the Right heires of my brother Daniell Fitch lawfully begotten
Item I give my brother Daniell Fitch his wife Five pounds

Item my debts and Legacies and funerall Expences beinge discharged, I doe make and ordaine my Deare and lovinge brother Mr. Daniell Fitch full and sole Executor, and doe give him full power to receive and enjoye the profits of all my lands, moneys, goods and Chattells duringe the minoritie of his sonne or any other of his heires, And doe intreat him faithfully to performe this my last will and testament

In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale, the daye and yeare first above written

Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of us
Richard Bunbury, Henry Knight, John Vicarie, William Penhellicke

This will was proved at London before the Judges for Probate of Wills and grauntinge administracons lawfully authorized, the eighteenth day of October In the yeare of our Lord one thousand sixe hundred Fiftie five by the oath of Daniell Fitch the naturall and lawfull brother of the said deceased and sole Executor therein named, To whome was committed Administracon of all and singuler his the said deceaseds goods, Chattells and debtsm hee beinge first sworn well and truely to administer the same
