In the name of God Amen The vth day of Aprill in the xxxijth [32nd] yere of or Soveraigne lady Elizabeth 1590
I Joane Forte widdowe of the p[ar]ishe of Ashe being sicke in bodye but of a sounde & p[er]fect memorye ordayne & make my last will & testament in manner & forme following
Inprimis I comytt my soule into the handes of allmightie God, my body to be buryed in the Churchyarde of Ashe aforesaid

Item I geve to my sonne William Forte my Fetherbed wth one Fether bolster & a pillowe, two paire of sheettes, two underclothes, one blanket & one cov[e]rlet & a plaine bedestedle wth a forme therto belonging, ij table clothes, one shepes russet gowne
Item I geve to the said William Forte my cubbard, my greate brasse pott & my little brasse porr, one broder? kettle, two candlestickes, my newe chestes, two stoolles, one planck table, one painted clothe
Item I geve to my said sonne William Forte fowre newe pewter platters & one old, thre(e) newe pewter dishes, one salt wth a cover, one sawcer, one maulte querne, ij wedges & one mattocke

Item I geve to my sonne Symon Powls one newe pewter platter, one pewter dish, one salt, one sawcer, one brasse pott, one chest & one painted clothe, one table clothe & one paire of sheettes
Item I geve to my Sister Sibbill Tailor my best white russet gowne & my white russet petticote, two smocks, two of my nest karchers, two neckerches [neckerchiefs], one newe woollen aprone & one newe lynnen aprone

Item I geve unto Silvester Kember the wife of John Parker two karchers, two neckerchers & my best rede petticoate
Item I geve unto Jane Parker two neckerchers, a newe lyynen upperbodyes
Item I geve to Alice Parker one yarde karcher
Item I geve to unto John Parker thirtie shillings To be payd wthin one monethe after my decease & I do forgeve hym the xs he oweth me besides in full consideration of the rent I owe hym
All the foresaid p[ar]cells of my goods I will shalbe distributed unto the p[ar]ties before mentioned by William Forte my sonne whome I do appoint to be my Executor

And the Residewe of my goods unbequeathed I geve unto my said sonne William towards the charge of my buryall, thew writing and proufe of this my will
And if my said sonne William do refuse to be my executor & to prove this my last will Then I appoint John Parker of Ashe to be my executor unto whome I do geve the residewe of my sayd goods towardes his paynes and charges about my buryall & the profs of this my last will
