In the Name of God Amen I Mary Foster late of Chatham in the County of Kent Spinster make my last Will and Testament in Writing
I humbly recommend my soul to the mercy of Almighty God in hopes of a joyfull Resurrection to life Eternal in and through the Merits of my Redeemer Jesus Christ and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently but Privately interred according to the mind and discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and my Cousin Mary Eve as near to my late Mother in the Chancel of the Church at Chatham as may be

I will and direct that all my just debts and Funeral Expences be fully Paid and satisfied
I Give devise and bequeath unto John Lowdell and Maria his Wife the sum of ten pounds a Peice for Mourning
I Give to Mary Miles Widow of Morgan Miles deceased twenty Pounds for Mourning
I also Give Devise and bequeath unto Robert Taylor of Strood in the County of Kent Gentleman Twenty Pounds
too Rachel Southern of Stroud aforesaid Spinster Ten Pounds
and I desire and direct my Executor hereinafter named to pay the aforesaid Legatees within three Months next after my Decease

Also I Give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Hassell my Maid Servant twenty Pounds if she shall be living with me at the time of my decease over and above all Wages that may be due to her to be paid in Manner as the Legacies herein before mentioned

Also I Give to Mary Eve daughter of Charles Eve and my Said Cousin Mary Eve his Wife one hundred Pounds my Gold Watch my best Pearl Necklace and Silver Porringer my Silver half Pint Mug and two Silver Spoons
and I also Give to Charles Eves son of the Said Charles and Mary Eve my Silver Tankard
to be paid and delivered to the said Charles Eve their Father within one Month next after my Decease for the use and benefit of his said Daughter and Son

Also I Give to the said Charles Eve the Father whom I constitute and Appoint Sole Executor of this my Will One hundred Pounds In Trust that the said Charles Eve do and shall within Six Months after my decease Put out the same in the Publick funds as he shall think fit and to receive the interest thereof from time to time and Pay the Sum of one hundred Pounds and all Interest received for the same unto Dorothy Miles Daughter of Morgan Miles hereinbefore named at her age of twenty one years if she shall so long live
But if the said Dorothy Miles shall dye before that age then I direct the said Charles Eve shall pay the said Sum of one hundred Pounds and the Profits thereof unto the hereinbefore named Mary Miles but if it shall happen that the said Mary Miles shall be dead at the time of the Death of the said Dorothy Miles then I Direct that the said Sum of one hundred Pounds and the Profits thereof shall go into and be taken as part of the residue of my Personal Estate hereinafter bequeathed by this my Will

Also I Give devise and bequeath all that my Peice or Parcell of Land lying and being in Sheerness in the Parish of Minster in the Isle of Sheppey in the said County of Kent and all that Messuage or Tenement now divided in two Dwellings with the Stable Wash house and appurtenances thereunto belonging now in the Tenure or Occupation of John Smith his undertenants or assigns and all my right Title and interest of and in and to the same unto the said Charles Eve To hold to him his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever

and I do hereby revoke all and every former or other Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made and Do declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form aforesaid
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of August 1755 _ Mary Foster signed sealed Published and declared by the said Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto at her request and in her Presence
