In the name of God Amen 1576 the xijth [12th] daye of Aprill and in the eightene yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Ladye Elizabeth by the grace of God of England, France and yreland Quene, defendor of the faith, And of the churche of England and also yreland under God the supreme head & govrnour
That I John Frende of Weles in the Countye of Kente Husbandman in the parrishe of Estrye nexte Sandwiche doe ordeyne this and make this my laste will and Testamente
Firste I geve my soule unto allmightie God my maker and Redeamer in whom I truste to be saved and my bodye to the earth from whence it came to be buryed wthin the Church of church yeard of the parrishe of Estrye aforesayd when the tyme shall please God to call me to ende this my dayes and life &c.

Firste I geve to the poore people of the pishe of Estrye ijs to be delte within a moneth after my decease
Also I geve and bequeath to Christian my daughter foure bushelles of wheate and two seames of maulte To be payed wthin one yeare after my decease
Also I give and bequeath to Alice my daughter a twelve monthinge bullocke and ij seames of maulte to be payed wthin one whole yeare after my decease
Also I geve and bequeath unto Samell my daughter one seame of wheate; And two seames of malte, and a seame of barlye to be payed wthin one whole yeare after my decease
Also I geve and bequeath to Costenest my daughter a vjli xiijs iiijd [£6 13s 4d] to be payed at the age of xxiiij yeares
Also I geve and bequeath to Elizabeth my daughter a vjli xiijs iiijd to be payed at the age of xxij yeares

And then also I geve and bequeath to Katherine my wife two kyen and a bullocke of the best wch she will and ten ewes and ten lambes and ten seames of barlye to be payed wthin one whole yeare after my decease
And also I geve Katherine my wife both the coubord and a Clothe brasse and pewter and all the cheese and all the lynen and woollen what she will
And also I geve the sayd Katherine my wife all the beddinge and bedstedles and the table and forme and all the tubbes stanns, and ij wheeles, And also I geve Katherine my wife All the instuffe

And also I will That Thomas Frynd and Danyell Frynd my sonnes shalbe myne executors both as one, and they shalbe see all my detts and legacyes discharged

Note: John Frynde of Wilis [Weles] was buried at St. Mary the Blessed Virgin, Eastry, Kent on 16 Mar 1577.
