First I desire to be decently buried by and at the discretion of my executor and executrix hereinafter mentioned
I do give and bequeath unto my brother James Friend of London the sum of five pounds
Also I do give and bequeath unto the trustees or officers of Union Street Chapel the
sum of ten pounds for the use and benefit of the Chapel only and absolutely
Also I do give and bequeath unto Mrs Sarah Brand of London the sister of my late
wife the watch and ring of my late wife
Also I do give devise and bequeath unto my relative Hannah Friend of Sandwich in the said County of Kent All that my now dwelling house No 31 Waterloo Place being a freehold house and garden with all appurtenances thereof situated in a road called the New Road leading from Rochester to Canterbury with all my furniture linen plate wearing apparel etc. Money in the Savings Bank with the money now or at any future time in the hands of Mr William Bartholomew Builder D.... Lane Rochester
Also all the rest and residue of my property of what kind or nature soever that I may die possessed of or entitled to at my decease or may be entitled to at any future time after my decease unto the said Hannah Friend to and for her own use absolutely
And I do hereby nominate and appoint the aforesaid William Bartholomew Executor and the aforesaid Hannah Friend Executrix of this my last Will and Testament also Leonard Taylor John Woodger & Jno Chs Johns Witnesses to my last Will contained in one sheet
