first I nominate & appoint my Sister Betty Funnell Executrix and Joseph Newington of Horsemonden aforesaid Executor of this my Will
I give & bequeath unto my Brothers John Sargant Thomas Sargant & James Sargant the sum of ten pounds sterling
and to my sister Susanna Furmer the sum of fifty pounds sterling
to be paid them respectively within six months next after my decease
and all the Residue & Remainder of my ready money & securities for money & securities for money and all my Goods Chattels Effects & Personal Estate whatsoever & wheresoever & of what nature kind or quality soever I give & bequeath the same unto the said Betty Funnell to & for her own absolute use & benefit
and I do hereby direct & declare that the said Joseph Newington shall not be answerable or accountable for any more money than he shall actually receive or shall come to his hands by virtue of this my Will nor with any loss which may happen or arise in the execution of this my Will unless the same shall happen by or through his own personal & wilful neglect or default and also that it shall & may be lawful to & for the said Joseph Newington to retain to & reimburse himself all Losses Costs Charges Damages & expences which he may sustain or be put unto in by or about the Execution of this my Will together with a reasonable allowance & compensation for his Journies trouble & loss of time in & about the same
In witness whereof I the said Philadelphia Funnell the Testatrix have to this my last Will &
Testament contained in one sheet of paper subscribed & set my hand & Seal the day and year first above written The Mark &
