In the Name of God Amen I Matthew Garland of the Parish of Saint Paul Deptford in the County of Kent being of weak languishing habit of body but of sound and disposal frame of mind do make this my last Will and Testament in form and manner as follows
first I commit my Soul into the hands of God our Heavenly Father who gave it humbly imploring him to receive the same unto his Eternal Rest for the sake and through the merits of our most blessed Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ to whom be Glory Amen respecting the minor consideration the interment of my Body I have stated my request on a separate Paper

Item I give and bequeath to my Son Baker Garland all my wearing Apparel Masonic Dressings and Decorations Coat of Arms Inventory books and papers accounts of Sales and memorandums to be kept or destroyed by him as he shall think proper and also my painted portrait and frame which last articles to be delivered to him within one Year after my decease but the previous articles immediately

be it remembered that the whole of the Furniture in my daughter Ann�s Bed Chamber is her own property and several trivial articles in other parts of the House which she will conscientiously point out (besides a considerable Sum for her services for many years)

I bequeath to my Grandson Charles James Green my large china bowl which has been his by deed of gift for some years past
Item I bequeath to my Grandson Henry Green my ..... and the views belonging thereto
I entreat my dear Granddaughter Eliza Green to accept of my ...... Violins

I request that my Folio Volume of Ogilvys Esop Fables may be considered as a kind of ..... among the younger Branches of Mr John Green�s family for their entertainment and amusement

All the Rest and Residue of my Household Furniture Books China and Effects I give In Trust for my four daughters viz Ann Elizabeth Sarah and Martha to be by them appropriated (as far as they are willing) to the payment of my Funeral Expences and just Debts

and I publish this as my will never having made any others Matthew Garland
