Item I bequeith to Stephen my son v marks [5 marks] to be payd to hym in mony or mother Ware of my crafte as soon as he cometh to Betersden
Item I bequeith to Richard my sonne v marks to be payd to the said Richard when he cometh to his age of xx [20] yere If the said Richard decesse before he cometh to the age of xx yere without lawfull issue (of his body) then I will the said marks that I have ordeyned to the said Richard my sonne shalbe delyvered to the forsaid Stephen my sonne And if so be the said Stephen my sonne decesse before he cometh to Betersden then I will the v marks that I have ordeyned to hym shalbe delyvered to the said Richard my sonne when he comyth to his xx yeres or if the said Richard my sonne decesse before he cometh to the age of xx yeres without Lawfull issue
And also the said Stephen my son fortune now to come to Betersden then I will v marks thereof that I have ordeyned to my said sonnes shall rest in the hands of myne executors and the other v marks thereof shalbe delyvered to the moste behof [behoof] of the forseid Johane my daughter
The residue of all my moveable goods and catalls after that my detts bequeithes and funerall expences
payed I geve and bequeith to Thomasyn my Wif the whiche the said my Wif of this my psent testament
I ordeyne Stephen Turner to be oversear thereof by this psent
And I ordeyne to the said Stephen Turner evry [every] daye that he intendeth to see my testament and

This is the last Will of me before rehersed [rehearsed] John George made & by me declared the day and yere aboveseid [abovesaid] and the xijth yere of kyng harry the viijth [Henry the 8th]
First I will that Willm. Bocher [Bucher] Johan Berman and Nicholas George my feoffeis of all my Lands and tents. [tenements] around after my decesse suffer Thomasyne my Wif to occupe and the profetts to prewe of messuage and all my lands duryng all the terme of her wedohod [widowhood] she competently kepyng the reparracon thereof And if my said wif happen to mary then I will after that she is maried then I will if that Stephen my sonne become to Betrasden he shall occupye my said messuage and all my lands untill Richard my sonne cometh to the age of xxj yeres the said Stephen paying unto my said Wif yerely untill Richard my sonne cometh to thage of xxj yere iijs iiijd
And after that Richard my sonne comyth to the age of xxj yeres then I will the said messuage and Lands with thappurtenncs. (sic) to be had to theyme there heires and assignes for evr so them that every of my said sonnes there heires or assignes pay or do (cause) to pay to the forsaid my wif yerly duryng all the terme of her lif xxd
Also I will that if the said Stephen my sonne did never more to Betrasden then I will my said wif shalhave and occupye my foresaid messuage and all my lands with thappurtenncs shall remayne to the next heyres of me the forsaid John George to be had to theyme there heires and assignes for ever
And if so be my forsaid sonnes and Johanne my daughter decesse within thage of xxj yeres without
lawfull issue then I will my forsaid messuage and all my lands with thappurtenncs. shall remayne to
Thomas George my godsonne the sonne of Nicholas George my broder to be had to the said Thomas
his heyers and assignes for ever
so that then the said Thomas his heyres assignes ordayn and an honest
priste [priest] to synge and pray for my soule my wifs soule my fadre & mudre [father and mother] soules
and all christen soules in the pyshe Churche of Betresden for the space of one quarter of a yere and to pay
hym for his labrs. [labors] xxxiijs iiijd
