In the Name of God Amen
I Richard George of the parish of Wittersham in the Isle of Oxney in the Countye of Kente Yeoman beinge sicke in body but of perfecte minde and memory thanks bee given unto God for the same doe ordeyne constitute and make this my last will and testamt [testament] in manner and forme followinge
First I will and bequeath my Soule into the hands of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who hath redeemed mee with his precious bloode and hath thereby gayned a pardon of my heavenly Father for all my sinnes and transgressions which I doe heartily repente mee of for offending soe Loveinge and soe mercyfull a lord God whom I humbly beseech thy glorious Maiestie [Majesty] forgive mee all my sinnes and transgressions wch [which] I have committed againste thy divine maiestie of whome I hope to have remission of the same for they sonne Christ his sale who sittith at the right hand and maketh intercession unto thy glorious Maiestie for the foregiveness of the same for his owne sake who hath brought mee as a prize
And I will and bequeath my body to be buryed in Wittershame churche chancell at the discrecon of myne Executor

Item I will and bequeath unto Mary the now wife of Daniell Wellard the Summe of Thirtie poundes to be payd unto her within one yeare after my decease
Item I will and bequeath unto Elizabeth George five pounds to be payd unto her within one yeare after my decease

Item I give unto Anne George the summe of five pounds to be payd unto her when shee shall attaine unto the Age of twentie and one yeares or at her day of marriage which shall first happen
Item I will and bequeath unto Elizabeth the wife of Richard Readder the Summe of Eight poundes to be payd unto her within one yeare after my decease

Item I will and bequeath unto Anne Shareall Widdow the Summe of Twentie shillinges to be payd unto her within one yeare next after my decease
Item I will and bequeath unto Elizabeth George the daughter of Nicholas George the summe of Twetne shillinges to be paide wthin [within] one yeare after my decease

Item I will and bequeath unto Gyles George the sonne of Peter George the summe of twentie shillinges to be paid unto him when hee shall attaine unto the age of one and twentie yeares
Item I will and bequeath unto Anne George the daughter of Peter George the summe of twentie shillinges to bee paid unto her when shee shall attaine unto the age of twentie and one yeares

Item I will unto Giles George the sonne of Thomas George the summe of Fourtie shillinges to be paid unto him within one halfe yeare after my decease
Item I will and bequeath unto John George the sonne of John George my brother late deceased the summe of Fortie shillinges to be payed unto him within one whole yeare next after my decease

Item I will and bequeath unto and doe ordeyne constitute and make Richard and Thomas George the sonnes of Richard George my sonne late deceased Jointe and whole and sole Executors of this my last will and testament To whom I give my whole and sole Estate my debtes and Legacies and Funerall exences beinge discharged

and I doe alsoe ordeine constitute and make Richard Hepworthe my Overseer of this my last will and testament to bee aydeinge [aiding] and assistinge to myne Executors in all thinges perteyninge to the performance of all matters whatsoever conteyned in this my last will and testament my sayd Executors not to meddle with any things without his consent and good likeinge to whom I will and bequeath the summe tenne poundes for his paines

In witnesse that this is my last will and Testamente I the abovesaid Richard George have hereunto sett my hande and seale (the) Nyneteenth day of February in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six hundred Fiftie and three (1653/4)

This Will was proved at Westminster the One and twentieth day of March (Englishe style) one thousand six hundred fifty three [1653/4] before the Judges for probate of willes and granting Administrations lawfully authorized by the oath of Richard George one of the Executors one of the Executors of the said deceased in the same Will Named To whom was committed Administracon of all and singular the goodes Chattells and debtes of the said deceased hee being first Lawfullie Sworne truelie to Administer the same Power nevertheless beinge reserved unto Thomas George the other Executor in the same will named of grantinge him the like probate and Administracon when he shall come and lawfully claime the same.

Notes: This is rather complicated, so I have split them into their family groups:

Richard George, s. of the Richard George of this Will, was christened at St. John, Wittersham on 8th September 1606. Richard George married an Elizabeth (not found) pre-1628.
Their children in addition to Richard (all christened at Wittersham):
6 Jul 1628 Marie/Mary; 12 Dec 1630 Elizabeth (Bu: not found); 14 May 1635 John; 31 Jan 1637 Elizabeth.

Elizabeth George, the daughter of Nicholas George is also mentioned in this Will.
Nicholas George married Elizabeth Benett on 25th May 1624 at St. Mildred, Tenterden.
Their children (all Christened at SS Peter Paul, Appledore):
2 Mar 1626 William; 14 Sep 1628 Anne; 31 Jul 1631 Richard (Bu: 11 Dec 1631); 12 Feb 1632 Elizabeth; 12 Dec 1635 Richard (Bu: 14 Dec 1635); 14 Dec 1636 Richard (Bu 2 Dec 1637).

The children of Peter George are also mentioned. Peter George, Ba., 35, Yeoman and Elizabeth Collier were married at St. Mary, Ebony on 24th February 1637.
