In the Name of God Amen The sixth day of September in the nyne and twentieth yeare of the Reigne of
Our Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the Grace of God King of England Scotland France and
Ireland Defender of the Faith etc. Anno Domini One thousand six hundred seventie seven
I Joane George of Woolwich in the County of Kent widdow being sick of bodie but in good and perfect
memory, Thanks be to God for the same, Ordaine make publishe and declare this my last Will &
Testament in manner and forme following, denying and revoking all other Will or Wills by mee made or
intended to be made, and that this and none other shall be taken for my last Will and Testament
First and above all things I committ my Soul into the hands of God my Maker and Redeemer assuredly
trusting that through the death and passion of Jesus Christ my onely Lord and Saviour and through the
Redemption of the Holy Spirit my Soul to be raised to eternall Glory And my Bodie to the grave to be
buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named
And as for such worldly wealth that it hath pleased God out of his Goodness to bestow upon mee; I doe
hereby will devise give and bequeath as followeth
Imprimis my will and mynd is that my debts and funerall expence be payd out of my whole goods and
chattells by my Executor hereafter named
Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Barker the sume of twentie shillings
Item I give and bequeath unto my Cousin William Seares of the Parish of Deptford in the Countie of
Kent aforesaid Yoman all the rest of my Goods and Chattells moveable and unmoveable on bequeathes
And lastly I doe hereby make the said William Seares sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written
