Inprise [Imprimis] I give and bequeath unto Daniel George my eldest Son all that my Messuage or Tenement with the barne outhouses and ten peeces or parcells of Land thereunto belonging containing by estimacon forty acres more or lesse with their appurtences [appurtenances] scituate & being in the parish of Woodchurch aforesaid & in the occupacon of Thomas Minster to be the use and behoofe of him the said Daniel George; and his heires for ever when he shall attaine to the age of one and twenty yeares
Item I give and bequeath unto my youngest son Thomas George the yearly rent or Sume of three pounds a yeare to be paid him halfe yearly by my son Daniel George or by their Guardian hereafter named dureing the whole time of his naturall life the first payment to be made and begin on the first Feast day of one of the most usuall Feasts or terme in the yeare which shalbe next & imediately after he shall attaine to the age of one & twenty yeares
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary George the yearly Rent or Sume of two pounds a yeare to be paid her halfe yearly by my son Daniel George or their Guardian after named dureing ye whole time of her naturall life the first payment to be made and begin on the first Feast day next comeing after my decease
Item my minde is that if my Son Thomas or my Daughter Mary should die the portion of him or her soe
dyeing shalbe to the Survivor of them
And alsoe if there be any default of payment of the aforesaid Sume
of three pounds bequeathed to my son Thomas And also the Sume of two pounds bequeathed to my
Daughter Mary I doe hereby impower them or any of them to enter upon my aforesaid Messuages Lands
& Premisses before given to my son Daniel George with distresse and Distresses and to obtaine and
keep ye same, untill they shall be fully satisfyed and paid with the Charges
Item I give unto my son Daniel George the chest which is called my chest
And allsoe I give unto my son Thomas George and my Daughter Mary George, each of them, one plaine
chest to be delivered them by my Executrix
Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Quihamton the Sume of ten pounds to be paid her by my Executor when she shall attain to the age of two and twenty yeares
Item I give and bequeath unto Joane George my loveing Wife All that my Messuage or Tenement, barne garden orchard and Lands thereunto belonging containing by estimacon eight acres more or lesse scituate in Woodchurch aforesaid; and in my owne occupacon to her and her heires forever; which sd. [said] Messuage and Premisses I foremerly bought of John Paull of High Halden
Item all the rest and residue of my p’sonall [personal] Estate goods and chattles whatsoever after my
debts legacyes and funerall expences paid and discharged I doe give & bequeath unto my loving Wife
Joane George (whom I do make) full & sole Executrix of this my last will & Testament
And allsoe doe hereby make and ordaine and appoint her to be guardian to my Children and to receive ye yearly Rents
and profits of the aforesaid Messuage before given to my son Daniel George for the bringing of them up in good
educacon & in finding them decent apparrell & convenient food & inkeeping the sd. [said] Messuage in
good repaire & noe otherwise till my son Daniel George come to the age one & twenty yeares
And I doe hereby revoke disannull and make void all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witnesse
whereof I the sd. James George have to this my last will & Testament sett my hand & seale Datd the day

James George married Margaret Mills/Wells 16th January 1665/6 at All Saints, Woodchurch.
Their known children (all christened (and/or buried) at Woodchurch):
24-Mar 1667 Mary; 20-Oct 1672 Daniel; 07-Jun 1673 James (Bu.: 14 Feb 1674); 12-Dec 1675 James; 06-Feb 1678 Thomas.
Margaret George, Wife of James, was buried at Woodchurch on 3rd August 1682.
James George, Widower, then married Joane Hampton, Widow, on 29th April 1684 at St. Margaret, Canterbury. Both were of Woodchurch.
After James George’s death in 1688, twice widowed Joane George married Edward Viner, Widower, both of Woodchurch, at All Saints
Woodchurch.
James George was buried at Woodchurch on 18th February 1687/8.
James George was christened 1st April 1632 at Woodchurch, s. of Daniell and Alice George.
