In the Name of God Amen The Seaventeenth day of December in the Second year of The Reign of our Sovereign Lord George By the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of The Faith and in The year of our Lord one Thousand Seaven Hundred and Fifteen
I Susana George of the parish of Chartham in The County of Kent Widdow being Sick of Body but of Sound and perfect memory praised be God do make and ordain This my Last Will and Testament in manner and Form as Followeth
First I Bequeath my Soule into the Hands of Almighty God our heavenly Father hoping Through the Meritorious Death and passion of Jesus Christ our Saviour to receive The Forgiveness of my Sins and my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a Christian Like and decent Manner at The Discretion of my Executor

Item I give and bequeath unto John Fox of Stelling That Hundred pounds with the Interest that is due to me from Pether [Peter] Honess of Hearbaldowne [Harbledown] at The Sign of The Rose and Crowne the money being in his Hands and my House in Chartham and Forge with The Land belonging to it

Item I give and bequeath into William Fox one Shilling
Item I give and bequeath unto William Wraith One Shilling
Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Hayward One Shilling
Item I give and bequeath Agustin [Augustine] Hopes Two Children one Shilling a peece
Item I give and bequeath unto Pether [Peter] Jarvis’s Children One Shilling apeece
Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Wraiths Children one Shilling apeece
Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Wraiths Two Children one Shilling apeece
Item I give and bequeath unto Reeds Four Children One Shilling apeece

Item I give and bequeath my Money Houses and Lands as before menconed [mentioned] unto John Fox with all my personall Estate moveable Goods and Chattells which belongeth To me and make him my Only and Sole Executor of This my Last Will and Testament paying of The Said Legacies one year after my decease

Notes:
Susanna George from Stelling was buried at St. Mary, Chartham on 8th February 1716/17.
Susanna George was the widow of Nicholas. Their marriage: 4th July 1692 Nicholas George Widower of St. Mary Bredman, Canterbury and Susanna Silkwood, Widow, otp., were married at St. Mary, Chartham.

There are no known children of Nicholas and Susanna’s marriage.
John Silkwood, blacksmith, 25, ba. & Susanna Fox, 28, sp. botp were married by licence at Chartham 28 Dec 1680.
John Silkwood was buried at Chartham 22 Feb 1691/2 and left a will.
