I Thomas George of Westerham in the County of Kent Grocer do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following

Having surrendered my Copyhold Estate at Westerham to the uses of my Will I give the said Copyhold Estate and all other my Property both real and personal of very nature and kind to my dear Wife Judith George and my good friends David Stone of Brasted and George Hooper of Seven Oaks their Heirs and Assigns for ever In Trust that they shall dispose of all and every part thereof in such way and manner as they shall consider best for the advantage of my said Wife and my children in the first place paying all my just debts and then applying the remainder for the benefit of my said Wife and children in such proportions and manner as they or the Majority of them shall judge proper

And I do appoint my said Wife Judith George Executrix and the aforesaid George Hooper Executor of this my last Will

Signed sealed declared and published by the said Thomas George as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have set our hands as Witnesses thereto and in the presence being first interlined

On the 2nd Octr. [October] 1830 Admon. [Administration] (with the Will annexed) of the Goods Chattels and Credits of Thomas George late of Westerham in the County of Kent deceased was granted to Thomas George and Amy George Spinster two of the natural and lawful Children and as such two of the Residuary Legatees named in the said Will they having first made a solemn and sincere declaration or affirmation according to (an) act of Parliament duly to Administer
George Hooper the surviving Executor and one of the Surviving Universal Legatees In Trust having first renounced the probate and execution of the said Will and also the Letters of Admon. with the said Will annexed of the Goods of the said deceased and David Stone the other Surviving Universal Legatee In Trust having also renounced the said Letters of Admon. with the said Will annexed of the Goods of the said deceased.

Notes:
Thomas George, Ba., married Judith Wimble, Sp., at St. Nicholas, Sevenoaks on 7th Nov. 1797 by Licence. Both were of Sevenoaks.
Witnesses were: Nicholas Flow and Harriet Wood.
They had 6 known children, 2 of which were christened on the Wesleyan Circuit in Sevenoaks:
bt. 15 Sep 1799 Henry (registered 30 Nov 1805) and b.1 Oct 1802 Ann.
Amy born 17 Jun 1804, Henry born 16 May 1806, Richard 10 Dec 1807 & Thomas 21 Aug 1809 were registered at the London and Middlesex Quarterly Meeting of the Society of Friends, probably at Croydon.
Judith George age 47 of Westerham, Kent, wife of Thomas George was buried at Croydon, Surrey (Quaker burial) 9 Nov 1818.
Thomas George age 55 of Westerham, Shop Keeper, was also buried at Croydon Quaker burial ground 9 Jul 1830.
Amy George married John Edgar of Charing, Kent at Croydon in a Quaker ceremony 6 Aug 1832.

TNA Ref.: PROB 11/1723/416 Will of Peter George, Yeoman of Capel, (near Pembury), dated 31st May 1826 & Proved 31st March 1827.
