This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann George Widow of the late Robt. [Robert] George of Chatham in the County of Kent

I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Smith Slatterie Widow the undermentioned pieces of furniture in case she is a Widow at the time of my decease I further devise that if she should die or be married again the furniture or value of such be divided equally among those of my children who are related to me by blood who shall then be living

And I do hereby appoint my Son Robt. George my Sole Executor

In the Prerogative Court of Canterbury In the Goods of Ann George Widow deceased

Appeared Personally Alice Fassnidge of No. 2 Dichlbry ? Villas Islington in the County of Middlesex Widow and made Oath that she is one of the subscribed witnesses to the last Will and testament hereunto annexed of the said Ann George late of Brixton in the County of Surrey Widow deceased bearing date the eight day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty eight And she further made Oath that on the eight day of September aforesaid the said Testatrix duly executed her said will be signing her name at the foot or end thereof in the presence of this deponent and of Charlotte Baker the other subscribed witness thereto both of whom were present at the same time And this deponent and the said Charlotte Baker thereupon attested and subscribed the said Will in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other
And the deponent with reference to a list of Furniture appearing written immediately beneath the signature of the said of the Testatrix and Witnesses beginning with the figures and words “1 Fender 1 set of Five Irons” and ending with the words “Rods for stair carpet” lastly made Oath that the whole of the said list beginning and ending as aforesaid was written in manner as on the said Will now appears previous to the execution of the said Will by the said deceased

Alice Fassnidge On Friday the twenty eighth day of November 1851 The said Alice Fastnidge Widow was duly sworn to the truth of this Affidavit before me

Proved at London 18th April 1853 before the Worshipful Frederic Thomas Pratt Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of Robert George the son the sole Executor to whom Admon. [Administration] was granted having been first sworn duly to Admin.

Notes:
Robert George of St Laurence, bachelor married Ann Shrewsbury of Deal, a minor with consent of her father Abraham, at Deal St Leonard by licence 21 Jan 1800. Witnesses were Jane Bradly Sale, Wm Shrewsbury, Edwd Shrewsbury, Sarah Browning & Mercy Shrewsbury.

Ann bapt. 8 Feb 1801, born 11 Dec 1800; Susanna bapt 21 Nov 1802, born 21 Sep; Robert bapt 6 May 1804, born 9 Mar; Elizabeth Smith bapt. 29 Sep 1805, born 5 Aug; Sarah Sandwell bapt 15 Mar 1807, born 13 Jan; William bapt 13 Nov 1808, born 2 Oct; Jane Pritchard bapt 28 Oct 1810, born 20 Jun; Edward bapt 3 May 1812, born 26 Jan; Dorothy Smith bapt 26 Nov 1813, born 7 Nov; Eliza Smith bapt 16 Nov 1817, born 22 Apr 1815, [to Robert George, timber merchant & Ann formerly Shrewsbury]; and Richard Burcham bapt the same day, born 24 July 1817.
Also at Clover Street Ebenezer Chapel, Chatham:
Matilda Born 18 Nov 1820; Chr. 4 Feb 1823; and Emma Born 22 May 1822 also Chr. 4 Feb 1823.

Elizabeth Smith George married Cephas Slatterie at Chatham 27 Jun 1835 by Faculty Office Licence.
Elizabeth Smith Slatterie died in Elham district of Kent in 1890 aged 85.

Ann daughter of Abraham & Ann Shrewsbury was baptised 30 Jun 1779 at Deal.
Ann George age 69 buried 19 Sep 1848 at St. Margaret, Next Rochester, where her husband Robert George was buried 25 Sep 1841 aged 73.
