In the name of God Amen the xvth daye of November in the yeare of ouer lord God a [1553]
I Margaret Gibbes wydowe, late the wyff of Willyam Gibbes of the p[ar]yshe of Woodnesborough in the countye of Kent being syck in body, hole of mynde and of p[er]fect remembrance (laude be unto allmyghty God) I make and ordeyne this my p[rese]nte testament in manor and forme folowinge
Fyrst I bequeyth my sowle to the marcifulnes of my maker and redemer Jhus Criste by myrretts of whose blessed passyon my only truste ys to be saved and my bodye to be buryed w[i]t[h]in the churche yarde of Woodnesborough aforseid

Item I bequeyth unto the Poor Peoples boxe edyfyed wtin the same churche a iijs iiijd to be delyveryd at my monythes mynde
Item I bequeyth to John Gibbes my son my house wch my husbond by his will gave me by the price of lvjs viiijd and xxti [20] che[e]ses
Item I will to the same John a transam, a hanging bedd in his kepinge and a mattris, my second coverlet and xls in money, one shete, my calf and the carpet of the benche

Item I will unto Stephen Gibbes my son one dun cowe, xls in money, xxti [20] cheses, my second ketell, one shete, one Ewe and ij quarters of Russet Wolen yarne
Item I will unto Elyzabeth my daughter xls of money, a shett, a pewtor platter and a pewtor dyshe, my tabell carpett
Item I bequeyth unto Richard Gibbes my son one red scawted? Cowe, xij bushells of wheate, a quarter of barley, a peyre of shetes and ij platters and xxs of money to be delyveryd unto him wtin one yeare after my decease
Item I will unto Willyam Gibbes my son xxs of money, one Ewe, a Platter and one shete

Item I bequeith unto Marcy Gibbes my daughter one blacke saewed Cowe, my fetherbed, my best transam, my best covrlet wt the blancket and underclothes belonginge to the same bed, my chist, my best hanging bedd, my best shete, my best candlsticke, my best ketell, a peyre of shetes and a table cloth, a towell, ij Ewes and xls of money, ij platters, one Pewtor dyshe, vj mylke bootles, ij smale kelens, ij bere kilderkins, one two-bushell toobbe [tub]
