In the name of God Amen: this Tenth day of August in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred and sixteen
I John Gibbon of the parishe of Shepersoule in the Countie of Kentt yeoman being sick in bodie butt in perfectt memorie thanks be to god: do ordayn and apoyntt this my last will and Testamentt in manere and forme following
First I bequeath my soule into the protectione of God Almightie my Savioure and Redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the churchyard of the parish aforesaid

Item I give and bequeath to Susane my wife the some of three score pounds of Currantt Englesh money to be payd to her my mine Executor within one whole yeare of my deseasse

Item my debts and leagisie being payd I give the Residue of my goods remayning to my two sonns Edward and George to be equally devided to either of them by equall portions to be payd to eyther of them att the age of one and twentie years and if itt happen thatt the said Edward or George to die before the age of one and twentie years thatt then the other to be his heire
and yf shall happen thatt bothe the said Edward and George shall die before the age of one and Twentie thatt then my will is thatt the one half be payd to my wif and the other half to my Kinsman John Gibbonn

Item my will and meaning is thatt such Legisies as shall rise outt of my goods to my two sonns shall be putt outt to profitt by mine Executore for the meytemance toward ther bringing up

Item I do Assigne my executor to receave of Wilyam Twisden att the experation of my Lease between the said Wilyam Twisden and I the som of thirteen pounds six shilling eith pence
Item my will is thatt my leases att Liden my executor shall putt them away for the most profitt att his discretion
Item my will is thatt Susan my wif shall have all the wood now liing in my yard and all the friutt growing aboutt my house

Item to my cossen Lidea Pilchar widow xl s
all the wich debts my will and meaning is thatt they shall be payd by mine Executor

Item I make my Uncle Edward Gibbon my whole Executor of this my last will and Testamentt
In witnesse whereof I have sett my hand the day and yeare Above writen to this presents

Witnesse to this presentt will Robert Matsom - Vallentine Cooley his mark
