I give the sum of five hundred pounds per annum Bank long
annuities standing in my name in the Books of the Governor and Company
of the Bank of England to my three sons William Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee
and James Gillbee their executors and administrators In trust to permit and
suffer or authorize and impour?? my said wife Elizabeth Gillbee to receive
the half yearly payments thereof as the same shall from time to time become
due as long as she shall live and continue my widow and from and after her
decease or marriage which shall first happen I give the said sum of five
hundred pounds per annum Bank long annuities as follows:
Seventy-five pounds per annum to my son William Gillbee to and for his own use,
seventy-five pounds per annum to my said three sons William Gillbee,
Nicholas Gillbee, and James Gillbee their executors and administrators In
trust to pay the half yearly payments thereof as the same shall from time to
time become due unto the proper hands of my daughter Mary wife of Lance
Tadman in the parish of Northfleet in the County of Kent farmer during her
life for her sole and separate use and not to be subject to the debts
intermingling or control of her present or any future husband and I direct
that he receipts only notwithstanding her coverture shall be sufficient
discharge to my said Trustees for the same and form and after the decease of
my said daughter Mary Tadman In trust transfer and pay the said sum of
seventy five pounds per annum Bank long annuities together with all such
dividends and interest thereof then remaining unapplied unto Lance Tadman
and William Gilllbee Tadman the son and Mary Tadman Elizabeth Tadman
and Sarah Tadman the daughters and all and every other child or children of
my said daughter Mary Tadman who shall be living at the time of her
decease equally to be divided between or amongst them if now more than
one share and share alike to be paid at his her or their respective age or ages
of twenty-one years.
And in case the death of one or more of the the said Lance Tadman William Gillbee Tadman, Mary Tadman, Elizabeth Tadman and Sarah Tadman or of such other child or children of my said daughter before his her of their share or shares become payable then the share or share of him her or them dying to go to the survivor or survivor or others of the equally share and share alike and if by one of them shall be then living ? to such survivor in such manner and payable as and when his or her original share or shares is or are herby made payable together with all such dividends and interest as shall in that ? time have arrived
and I ? give seventy five
pounds per annum of the said five hundred pounds per annum Bank long
annuities after the decease or marriage of my said wife as aforesaid unto my
son Nicholas Gillbee to and for his own use
also I give seventy-five pounds per annum to my son James Gillbee to and for his own use
Also I give seventy-five pounds per annum to my son Earle Gillbee to and for his own use
Also I give twenty five pounds per annum to my son John Clarabut Gillbee to and
for his own use
and I also give fifty pounds per annum to my aforesaid three sons William Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee and James Gillbe their executors and administrators in trust to pay and transfer the same together with all Dividends and Interest that may have occurred unto Thomas Meriton and Elizabeth Meriton the children of my late daughter Deborah Meriton to be equally divided between them share and share alike payable at their respective ages of twenty-one years and in case of the death of either of them the said Thomas Meriton and Elizabeth Meriton before his or her share shall become payable then the share of him or her so dying to go to the survivor
I give unto my son William Gillbee the sum of three
thousand pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to and for his own use
and I give unto my said dear wife Elizabeth and my said three sons William
Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee and James Gillbee their executors and
administrators the sum of three thousand pounds of lawful money of Great
Britain In trust to pay out and invest the same in Government funds or ?
securities in their own names and to pay the Dividends or interest thereof
into the proper hands of my said daughter Mary Tadman from time to time
as the same shall become due during her life for her sole and separate use
and not to subject to the debts intermeddling or control of her present or any
future husband and I direct that her Receipts alone notwithstanding her
coverture shall be sufficient discharges to my said Trustees for the same
sufficient surcharges to my said Trustees for the same and from and after the
decease of my said daughter Mary Tadman In trust to pay assign and transfer
the said sum of Three thousand pounds money or the funds and securities in
which the said sum shall be invested together with all the dividends and
interest thereof then remaining unapplied unto Lance Tadman and William
Gillbee Tadman the sons and Mary Tadman Elizabeth Tadman and Sarah
Tadman the daughters and all and every one child and children of my said
daughter Mary Tadman who shall be living at the time of her decease to be
divided between or amongst them if more than one share and share alike
payable at their respective ages of twenty one years with such benefit of
survivorship as hereinbefore given to them in the hereinbefore mentioned
sum of seventy-five pounds per annum Bank long dated annuities and I so
hereby give liberty to my said Trustees of the survivor of them to apply all
or any part of the Dividends or Interest of the said sum of three thousand
pounds Money or funds or securities in which the same shall be invested and
also the dividends or interest of the hereinbefore mentioned sum of seventy
five pounds per annum Bank long annuities from and after they shall
become Intitled thereunto in or towards their maintenance and Education
and in case of the said Lance Tadman William Gillbee Tadman Mary
Tadman Elizabeth Tadman and Sarah Tadman and all with children of my
said daughter Mary Tadman hereinafter to be born shall die under the age of
Twenty one years then and in such case I give the said sum of Three
thousand pounds money the funds or securities in which the mentioned sum
of seventy five pounds per annum Bank long annuities together with all the
dividends or interest hereof respectively then remaining unapplied unto
Lance Tadman the husband of my said daughter Mary Tadman
But in case ??? not survive the aforesaid child or children of my said daughter Mary Tadman Then I give the said sum of three thousand pounds money of the funds or securities in which the same shall be ? together with the said sum of seventy five pounds per annum Bank long annuities with all the dividends or interest then remaining unapplied unto my five sons William Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee James Gillbee Earle Gillbee and John Clarabut Gillbee equally to be divided between them share and share alike payable at their respective ages of twenty one years with such benefit of survivorship as is hereinbefore give to them in the hereinbefore mentioned sum of seventy-five pounds per annum Bank long annuities and I do hereby give liberty to my said Trustees or the survivor of them to apply all and any part of the dividends or interest of the said sum of Three thousand pounds money of funds or securitys in which the same shall be invested and also the dividends or interest of the hereinbefore mentioned sum of seventy five pounds per annum Bank long annuities form and after they shall become intitled thereunto in or towards their maintenance and Education and in case of the said Lance Tadman William Gillbee Tadman Mary Tadman Elizabeth Tadman and Sarah Tadman and all such children of my said daughter Mary Tadman hereafter to be born shall die under the age of twenty one years then and in such case I give the said sum of three thousand pounds money or the funds or securitys in which the same shall be invested and also the hereinbefore mention sum of seventy-five dollars per annum Bank long annuities together with all the dividends or interest thereof respectively then remaining unapplied unto Lance Tadman the husband of my said daughter Mary Tadman But in case he does not survive the aforesaid child or children of my said daughter Mary Tadman Then I give the said sum of three thousand pounds money or the funds securities in which the same shall be invested together with the same sum of seventy-five pounds per annum Bank long annuities with all the dividend or interest then remaining unapplied unto my five sons William Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee James Gillbee Earle Gillbee and John Clarabut Gillbee equally to be divided beween them share and share alike
and I give unto my son James Gillbee the sum of three
thousand pounds of lawful money of great Britain to and for his own use
and I give unto my son John Clarabut Gillbee the sum of five thousand pounds
of like lawful money to and for his own use
and I give unto my son Earle
Gillbee the sum of five hundred pounds of like lawful money to and for his own use
and I give direct and bequeath all and singular my messuages lands tenements and hereditaments situate and being in the parish of Shorne or ??? in the county of Kent with their and every of their appurtenances and all my Rights Title and Interest thereon unto my son Nicholas Gillbee his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns according to the respective nature thereof to and for his and their own use and benefit and I forgive my said son Nicholas Gillbee all such debts as he shall owe me at the time of my decease for Rent or on any other account whatever
and I give unto my said wife Elizabeth and my said three sons William Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee and James Gillbee their executors and Administrators the sum of four thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank Annuity stock standing in my name in the Books of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England In trust to pay the dividends or interest of ?? equal half part thereof into the proper hands to Thomas Meriton the son of my late daughter Deborah Meriton form time to time during his life for his use and benefit and form and after the decease of the said Thomas Meriton in Trust to pay and transfer the principal or Capital of the said by half part of the said sum of four thousand pounds Bank Annuity stock and such dividends or interest thereof as shall then remain unapplied unto all and every the child and child of the said Thomas Meriton lawfully begotten who shall be then living equally to be divided between or amongst them if more than and share and share alike payable at their respective ages of Twenty one years and in case there shall be only one such child then living then to such one child with such benefit of survivorship as is herein given to the children of my daughter Mary Tadman and in case the said Thomas Meriton shall die without leaving any lawful child or children of if leaving any all such children shall be under the age of Twenty one years then I give the said one half part of the said sum of four thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuity stock and all such dividends or Interest thereof unapplied unto Elizabeth Meriton the daughter of my late daughter Deborah Meriton to and for her own use and benefit and upon further Trust to pay and transfer the other equal half part of the said sum of four thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuity stock together with all the dividends and Interest thereof unapplied unto the aforesaid Elizabeth Meriton the daughter of my late daughter Deborah Meriton upon her attaining the age of twenty one years to and for her own use and benefit But in case the said Elizabeth Meriton shall die under the said age of twenty-one years without kin then I give the last mentioned one equal half part of the said sum of four thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuity stock with all Dividends and Interest thereof then remaining unapplied unto my five sons William Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee James Gillbee Earle Gillbee and John Clarabut Gillbee equally to be divided between or amongst them share and share alike and I do hereby give liberty to my said trustees of the survivor of them to apply all or any part of the Dividends or Interest of the said last mentioned equal half part of the said sum of four thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuity stock in or towards the maintenance of the said Elizabeth Meriton until she attains the age of twenty one years
and I give unto Henry Meriton the husband of my late daughter Deborah Meriton the sum of ten pounds to and for his own use
and my will is and I do hereby direct that in case at the time of my decease there shall not be standing in my name in the Book of the Governor and company of the Bank of England as much specific annuity and stock as shall be sufficient to make up the specific bequests herein before then that my executor hereinafter name do and shall out of the most convenient part or parts of the residue of my personal Estate purchase so much specific stock or annuity as shall be necessary to make up the ...?
Item I give and desire all that the perpetual advantage? donation presentation and right of patronage of in and to the Rectory and parish church of Barby in the County of Northampton with the Right to members and appurtenances and the parsonage house and homestead vicarage house the Tithes of the hamlet of Andby?? In the parish of Barby and all the lands allotted in lieu of the Glebe lands and tythes on the ?? of Barby now let to ?? undertenants on lease and all other my messuages lands tenements and herditaments in the said parish of Barby which purchased under a Decree of the Court of chancery before John Lott Esquire and of the Master in the said court in a Court wherein Joseph Butler Clerk was plaintiff and Knightley Lotted?? Doctor of Divinity and others were Defendants and all my Estate Right Title and Interest therein or thereto unto my said son Earle Gillbee his heirs and assigns forever.
All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate
and effects of what nature or kind so ever after payment of my fist debts
legacies and funeral expenses I give and bequeath unto my said sons
William Gillbee Nicholas Gillbee James Gillbee Earle Gillbee and John
Clarabut Gillbee and the said Lance Tadman the husband of my said
daughter Mary Tadman equally to be divided between them share and share
alike and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Elizabeth Gillbee
Executrix and my said sons William Gillbee James Gillbee and Earle Gillbee
executors of this my will and also Guardians of my said Grandchildren
Thomas Meriton and Elizabeth Meriton and I do hereby declare that the
Legacies and bequests hereby given to my said wife is in full of all Power of
Dower or Thirds and right and title of Dower or thirds which she can or may
claim out of all or any part of my Real Estate and I do herby revoke all

On the 10th Sept 1827 Admon (with will annexed) of the Chattels and credits of William Gillbee late of the Parish of St Mary Newington in the County of Surry Esq decd left unadm? by William Gillbee James Gillbee and Earle Gillbee decd whilst living the Executors named in the Will was granted to Thomas Meriton a legatee named in the sd will having been of first sworn duly to admin. Elizabeth Gillbee the relict the other Executor dying without having proved the said will, the said James Gillbee the ?? executor dying intestate, John Clarabut Gillbee the surviving ?? legatee named in sd will and Sarah Gillbee wo? the relict and admtrix of the Goods of the sd William Gillbee the son decd, Samuel Penford Thomas the Admtor of the goods of Nicholas Gillbee decd, Catherine Gillbee wo the Relict and admtor of the Goods of James Gillbee decd, Thomas Jones the sole exor of the will of Earle Gillbee decd and Mary Tadman wo the Relict and admtrix of the goods of Lance Tadman decd (who were whilst living the residuary legatees named in the said will & who also survived the sd deceased) having renounced the lttrs of Admon (with the said will annexed) of the goods named of the sd deceased as by Act of Court appears
