Item I give and bequeath to William Saunder, John Saunder, Henry Saunder, Mary Saunder and Elizabeth Saunder, sonnes and daughters of my sonne
in lawe John Saunder, the some of twentie shillinges a peece of lawfull English money To bee paide unto them and eyther of them by my executor
heereunder nominated out of my landes and Tenem[en]ts att their severall daies of marriadge

Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Thompson and Margaret Thompsonn, sonne and daughter of my daughter Mary, the some of xxx to be paid unto
them at their severall daies of marriage by my Executor
Item I give and bequeath unto John Thompson, sonne of my said daughter Mary, the some of Five shillinges to be paid unto him by my executor
at his daie of Marriage
Item I give and bequeath unto John Gynder, sonne of my Grandchild Thomas Ginder all my plate whatsoever
Item I give and bequeath unto Johane Rogers widdowe my servannt the some of twentie shillinges by he yeare during the tearme of her naturall
life, halfe yearely to be paid unto her out of my landes heereafter menconed
The residue of all my goodes abd Chattells whatsoever unbequeathed I wholie give and bequeath unto Thomas Ginder my grandchild whome I nominate and appointe sole executor of this my Testam[en]t and last Will
This is the last will and Testamt of me the aforesaide John Ginder made and declared the daye and yeare abovesaid, touching and concerninge all my landes, Tenements and hereditaments w[i]thin the parish of Elham or else where in the said Countie of Kent, all w[hi]ch lands, tenemts and hereditamts I give and bequeath unto Thomas Ginder my grandchilde to him and his heires for ever, hee payeinge my debts and performinge my legacies
Butt if in case hee shall make default of payment of eyther of the said legacies before in this my Testament given and bequeathed Then yt shall & may be lawfull to and for every of the said legaties soe beeing unpaid into my said lands and Tenements to enter and distrayne and the distres(s) there founde from thence to leade, drive, carry awaye, ympounde, d[e]tayne and keepe untill they and every of them shallbe fullie satisfied and paid
Provided and my will and true meaninge That if the said Thomas Ginder my grandchild shall refuse
the Probate of this my Testament and last will and the payment of my debts, Then my will & meaninge is
That hee shall loose the benefitt of this my Testament and last will and I doe heereby nominate and
appoint the said John Thompson my sole executor of this my testament and last will
And all my landes Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever wch I have before in this my will given and
bequeathed unto Thomas Ginder my grandchild & his heires I give and bequeath unto the said John
Thompson his heires and assignes for ever, hee paieing all my debts and performinge my legacies in
such manner as before I have limitt & appointed the same to be paide

John Saunder married Katherine Ginder on 20th June 1603 at St. Andrew, Canterbury, Kent. The entry in Canterbury Marriage Licences reads:
Saunder, John, of Elham, yeom., and Catherine Ginder, s.p., v[irgin], at St. Andrew’s, Cant. June 20 1603.
