In the name of God Amen This one and Twentieth day of March Anno dini 1679(/80) And in the two and Thirtieth yeare of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland, King, defender of the Faith etc.
I Symon Goldwell of Maidstone in the County of Kent Cur[r]ier being at this pr[e]sent sicke in body but of good and p[er]fect sense minde and memorie (thankes be therefore given to Allmighty God for the same) But calling to mind the Certainty of death and the uncertaine time thereof doe therefore make and declare these pr[e]sents to be my last will and testament in writeing in manner and forme followinge
First and principally I comend my Soule into the hands of my most gratious and mercifull God hoping and andoubtedly beleiving that through the meritts death passion resurection and assertion of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to have free pardon and forgivenes of all my Sinns and to enjoy everlasting blessednes in the Kingdome of Heaven hereafter for my body I comitt the same to the Earth from whence it was taken in decent manner to be buried att ye discretion of my Executrix hereafter named
And for such Worldly goods and Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God of his goodnesse to lend me I doe give will devise dispose and bequeath of the same as followeth Vizt.

Item I doe give will devise dispose and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary Goldwell All that my messuage or Tenement wherein I now dwell with the Yards gardens orchards backsides outhouses & app[ur]ten[an]ces whatsoever to the same belonging withall the deeds evidences and writeings in & Conserning the same or any p[a]te thereof All which s[ai]d Messuage or tenement and pr[e]mises afore menconed are Scituate lieing and being in Stone Streete in the p[ar]ish of Maidstone in the County of Kent aforesaid
To have and to hold the said Messuage or Tenem[en]t yards garden Orchard Backsides outhouses and appurtences whatsoever to the same belonging unto my said Loving wife Mary Goldwell for & during the terme of her naturall life

And from and after her decease my will and mind is and it is the true intent and meaning of this my last will and Testament that the Messuage or Tenement and premises wherein I now dwell with the appurtences to the same belonging as afore menconed shall be and remaine and I doe hereby give will and bequeath the same unto and betweene my Three Sonns Vizt. Symon, John & Thomas Goldwell equally betweene them to be devided share & share alike
and my said loving wife Mary Goldwell is to have and receive the rents issue and profitts pf the Messuage or Tenemt. & prmisses afore menconed for and dureing the tearme of her naturall life as aforesaid

And Lastly my will and mind is and I doe hereby further give will and devise unto my said Loving wife Mary Goldwell all my Jewells rings Leases bonds bills Accompts silver plate and moneys whatsoever of myne and alsoe al my pewter Brasse Iron Tinn Lead Linnen woollen and Nappery and all my Tables Stooles Utensills of household stuffe or other things of myne whatsoever as alsoe all debts due and owing unto me from any p[er]son or p[er]sons whatsoever to her owne proper use and accompt

And I doe hereby make my loving wife Mary Goldwell whole Executrix of this my last will and Testament desireing her to see the same performed Revoakeing all former wills by me made and doe pronounce and declare these prsents to be my last will and Testament desireing my said Executrix to see my debts paid and Funerall Expenses discharged

In Witnesse whereof I the said Symon Goldwell the Testator to this my last will and testament Contained in three sheets of paper with this sheet have to every sheet thereof sett m hand and Seale the day and yeare afore expressed

Symon Goldwell was buried at All Saints, Maidstone on 6th July 1680.
