executor) my? loads of fuell wood or sixteene shillings of money at her choyce everye yeare during her lyf

Item I geve to Willm my sonn Six pounds of lawfull Englishe money to be paid unto him wthin two yeares next after my decease
Item I will & geve to Katheryn Blackborne my daughter fortye shillings of Lawfull Englishe money to be payd unto her wthin on(e) yeare

Item I will that the said Mark my sonn shall bestowe twentye shillings in apparell to be & remaine to the use of Elizabeth? Howell my doughter

them when six yeares next aftr my decease

Item all the reasidewe of my movable & imovable goods, Chattels & howsold stuf before not geven nor bequeathed I will & geve to the said Mark Goldhill my sonn whome I make & ordayne sole executor of this my Last will & testament & I will yt he shall ther wth distrayne & pay my deabts & my legacys heerin contayned according to the true meaning of this my Last will and testament
This is the Last will & testament of me theafore named William Gouldhill made & by me personally declared the daie & yeare aforesd. As touching the disposition of all my Lands & tene[men]ts wth theire appurtenncs [appurtenances] scytuate lying & being sevrally in the parishes of Hinxhill aforesaid & Wye in the said County,
First I will & geve to the said Marke Gouldhill my sonn my principall messuage or Tene't wherein I now dwell & all the edifices, buyldings,
Orchards, gardens and closes to the same adjoyning wth all theire appurtenncs, rents, suits, services, Comodyties & p[ro]fitts to the same
belonging the Bynfield and the feilde before the gate comonly called Whitefeild contay[n]ing in all by estimacon six acres of lande more or Less
Item I will & geve to the said Marke my Lands comonly called the hylfer brooks contayning by estimacon six acres more or Less, all wch prmisses
afore recyted are scytuate lying & being in Hinxhill aforesaid
Item I will & geve to him the said Marks my sonn my three peeces or p[ar]cells of land & medow comonly called Wesley contayning by estimacon eyght
acres & half, on(e) acre more or less Lying & being togethr in Hynxhill & Waye [Wye] aforesaid
To have & to houlde all the before recyted messuage or tenement, edifices, buyldings, Orchards, gardens, closes, Lands,
medow & feyldes wthall theire appurtenncs, rents, Comodyties & pfitts to him the said Marke Goudhill & his heyres males for evr
And for lack of such yssue the rev[e]rtion? & remayndr thereof to Richard my sonn & his heyres for evr
In consideracon Wher(e)of I will th[a]t the said Marke & his heyres males shall quietly p[er]mitt & suffer the said Sibill my Wif to have her dwelling in the Parlor of my said messuage or tene't during her naturall Lif & th't she shall have the Lofte and the said Parlor & free coming & going to the fire in the hall & to have the use of the oven & free libertye to ..atch water & fowre of the best aple trees in the Orchard during all the tyme of her naturall Lyf aforesaid wth free coming & going to & from all the same prmisses for her and her assignes at all tymes convenient durying all the said tearm
And in consideracon also of wch said gifte I will th't the said Marke & his heyres males shall sowe (at theire owne charges) on(e) bushell of
hempseed for her the said Sibill uppon some p[ar]te of the best grounde about my said tene't evry yeare during her lif, & also I will that in
consderacon of the said guifte that the said Marke & his heyres males shall keepe at theire owne Charges uppon the prmisses before recyted on(e)
Cowe & a hogg for her the said Sibill so well as they kepe theire owne evry yeare during her lif
& shall pay unto her yearly during her lif six pounds of Lawfull Englishe money to be payd unto her quarterly at fowar usuall feasts in the yeare,
that is to say, at the feasts of the birth of or Lorde; Th'annunciacon of the blessed Virgin Marie; St. John the Baptist and St. Michaell
th'arkangell by even portions
And also that the said Marke & his heyres males shall pay Yearly to Richard my sonn tenn shillings during his naturall Lyf to be likewise paid him quarterly by yeven portions at & upon the feasts aforesd., the first payment of the payments aforesaid to begin at any of the said feasts th't shall next happen aftr my decease, yf yt be a quartr, yf not then to begin at any of the said next feasts th't shall happen next happen
And I will th't yf & as often as yt shall happen any of the said quarterly (sums) of money to be behinde & unpayed in pte or in all by the space of xiiijti [14] dayes next aftr any of the sd. feasts of payment thereof above Lymited in the wch the same ought to be payd (being first Lawfully demanded) that then & so often yt shalbe Lawfull to & for the said Sibill or Richarde or any of them th't shalbe so behinde & unpaied to com[e] & entr into all the p[re]misses before recyted & there to distraigne & keepe the distresses & make sale thereof to her or his use that shalbe soe behinde and unpaied untill such tyme as a full satisfaction shalbe made thereof
Item I will & geve to the said Richard my sonn my Lands & Woodes comonly called the further brooks contayning by estimacon fowre acres more or Less Lying & being in Hinxhill aforesaid To have & to holde the same to him his heyres & assignes forevr
Item I will & geve to John Goldhill my sonn my Lands & Woode comonly called Woodhamp? contayning by estimacon five acres more or Less Lying & being in Hinxell aforesaid To have & to holde the same to him his heyres & assignes forevr
And I will that the said Richard & John my sonns shall pay out of their sevrall portions to them geaven yearly to the said Sibill my Wif during
her life xjs viijd of Lawfull englishe money, that is to say, the said Richard to pay five shillings thereof & the said John to pay six shillings
eight pence the residue to be paied unto her quarterly at the feasts aforesaid or Wthin the like tyme of xiiijti [14] dayes aftr evry (of) the
said feasts, & the first payment thereof to begin as aforesaid
And my Will is th't yf the same shall not be so paied, Then to be Lawfull for her the said Sibill to enter and distraigne in & uppn the said Lands
so to them geven in such manr & forme as is before expressed & declared

William Goldhill was buried at St. Mary, Hinxhill, Kent on 1 Dec 1592.
Sibill Gouldhill was buried 25 Apr 1604 at Hinxhill. She is listed as widow Goldhill on the Hastingleigh.com website.
Daughter Katheryn Gouldhill married William Blackborne 22 Feb 1578 at Hinxhill.
Son Marke Goldhill married Dorothy Stocke 14 Nov 1580 at Hinxhill.
Marke Goldhill was buried at Hinxhill 7 Aug 1603.
Richard Howell married Elizabeth Goulding 8 Jan 1578/79 at SS Martin & Gregory, Wye, Kent. Son Gregorie was baptised 15 Feb 1580/81 at Wye.
