First I will that all such debts and somes of money as I shall truely owe unto any p�son or p�sons at the

Item I give to the poore people of the p�ishe of Maidstone aforesaid Twentie poundes to be paid w�thin
sixe monethes after my decease to the Collectors of the said p�ishe to be by them presentlie distributed
among such as in their discretions shall have most neede
Item I give to Mr Josias Nicholls of Looes tenne pounds and to Repent his sonne tenne poundes to be
paid unto his Father to his use
Itm I give and bequeath unto Mr Carre Minister of Maidstone aforesaid to Mr Goodaker of the same
p�ishe And to Mr Chambers Minister at Looes aforesaid Fyve poundes a peece
Item I give and bequeath to my brother Greenes two daughters Anne and Bridgett twentie poundes a peece
Item I give and bequeath to Stephen Asnotts wief to James Crompes wief and Anne Younge tenne poundes a peece
Item I give and bequeath to my sister Tanner tenne poundes
All the aforesaid severall legacies to be paid w�thin sixe monethes after my decease
Item I give and bequeath to my cosin Delmans wief of Marden Fyve poundes to be paid likewise w�thin sixe monethes after my decease
Itm I give and bequeath to my brother George Smith my brother Barnabie Newman my brother James
Jackson and to every of their wives and to my sister Greenefeild to every one of them a gold ring of the value of twenty shillings
Itm whereas William Simons deceased by his last will and testament did give and bequeath unto me the
said John Greene All his goodes Chattells and debts remayning And of his last will did make me his sole
Executor att the time of the making whereof he was seized of certein Landes w�ch yt seemed he did
intend unto John Barham sonne of Nicholas Barham of Maidstone aforesaid deceased But after the
making of the said will did live certein yeres and made sale of the same landes for the some of Two
hundred and tenne poundes And afterwards died without alteracon of the said will and without divising
any of the money proceeded by the sale of the said landes unto the said John Barham
Nowe for soumch that I am p�telie p�swaded that if the said William Simons had lived to make alteracon
of his said will that he would (in lieu of the said landes by him sould awaie have devised all or some p�te
of the saide Two hundred and tenne poundes raised by the sale thereof unto the saide John Barham
Therefore (for the cleiring of all scruple of doubt or conscience that I may make therein I doe give and
bequeath unto the said John barham the saide some of Two hundred and tenne poundes To be paid
unto him att the accomplishement of his lawfull age of Twentie and One yeres (if he live to that age)
And doe ymediately att or before the payment unto him of the saide two hundred and tenne poundes
make and give unto my Executrix or to her executors or adminstrators A lawfull absolute and sufficient
Release and aquittance of for and concerning the same And all other matters and demands whatsoever
whereof I am or may be anye waie charged unto him either by lawe or in equitie
Item I give and bequeath to Thomas Shipton my Godsonne twentie poundes to be bestowed in silver plate and delivered to his Father to his use within two yeres after my decease
Itm I doe give to my brother Gabriell Greene Fortie poundes to be paid w�thin one yere after my decease
Itm my will and minde is that my said brother Gabriell Greene shall have and hold to his owne use from
and after my decease All those landes w�th th�appurtenances lying in Maidstone aforesaid in the East
Lane called Orlepitts w�ch I had or bought of Sr Edmond Baynam nowe being in the occupacon of
Stephen Walter and one Hills a Dutchman for & during so many yeres of the Leases termes and estates
therein w�ch I nowe have (wche the saide Gabriell Greene shalbe living (he paying the rent and keeping
the cover�nts during that time to be paid or p�formed by force of the severall Leases w�ch I have thereof
And from and after his decease I doe will and devise and my will minde and meaning is that all my whole
Leases termes and Estates therein shalbe and remaine unto Thomas Greene sonne of my saide brother
Gabriell Greene to his owne prop use absolutely
Item I give and bequeath to William Lorymanson my Godson Fyve poundes
And to Gabriell Crompe my godson Fyve poundes
And to Judith Wright my sisters daughter Fyve poundes
And to Grissell Deacon my brothers daughter Fyve poundes
All the same legacies last mentoned to be paid w�thin sixe monethes after my decease
Itm I give and bequeath to my sonne in lawe Mr Thomas Shipton tenne poundes
Item I give to Margarett my maid servant twentie shillings
All the rest and Residue of all and singular my goods Chattells Leases plate readie money howshold stuff debts and other thinges whatsoever by me herein not given or bequeathed The debts by me owing and my legacies and funerall charges being first paid deducted or allowed I doe fullie and whollie give will and bequeath unto my loving wief Margarett Greene, to her owne prop use
And I doe nominate make and ordeyne the said Margarett Greene my wief my full and sole Executrix of
this my last will and testam�t
Requiring her to see the same truelie p�formed according to my true intent and meaning herein declared
And I doe desire my foresaid brother Gabriell Greene to be overseer of this my last will And to be
assistant to my Executrix in the due execucon thereof
And as towching the disposing of all my Fee Simple Lands Ten�ts & hereditaments w�th thapp�tenances
w�ch I have or am seized of lying and being in the p�ishe or towne of Maidstone aforesaid I doe whollie
give will and devise the same and every of them and every p�te thereof unto my said brother Gabriell
Greene for and during the terme of his naturall lief
The Remainder thereof after his decease, unto his said sonne John Greene my Nephewe and to his heires and assignes forever
And I doe hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made in any manner of wise
