In the name of God Amen the twelveth day of January in the yeare of the raygne of our Soveraygne Lorde James by the grace of God of England, Scotland, Frannce & Ireland Kinge defender of the fayth &c ---- of England, Frannce & Ireland the thirtenth & of Scotland the nine & fortythe &c
I Lawrence Grenestrete of the parish of Tenham in the county of Kent yeoman beinge sicke in body but of good & perfect remembrannce (praysed be God therfore) ordayne & make this my last will & Testament in manner & forme followinge
First I commend my soule to Almighty God my maker, hopinge assuredly through thonly merrites of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be made partaker of life everlastinge
Item I will my body to be buried in the church yarde of Tenham aforesaide neere the graves of Children there already buryed

Item I will unto Mr Hearst to preache at buryall 10s
Item I will & bequeath unto the poore people of Tenham 20s to be distributed at my funerall
Item I will unto my servanntes now dwellinge with me twelve pence apeece
Item I will unto Bartholomew May, Thomas May & Richard May, my daughters sons 10s a peece
Item I will unto 4 men to carry me to the church 4s
Item I bequeth unto Samuell the sonne of Robert Grenestrete of Buckland one ewe lambe
Item I give unto Amy the daughter of my brother Richard Grenestrete 10s
Item I will unto Elizabeth Grenestrete the daughter of Joseph Grenestrete one yearlinge sheepe
Item I will & bequeth unto Joseph Grenestrete for making my will 22s

Item I will & bequeth unto Katherine my wife & John my sole & onely sonne all my goodes & chattles whatsoever moveable & immoveable not by me given before equally to be devided betweene them, they payinge my debtes & legacies & discharginge my funerall expences
whom I onely ordayne & make executors of this my last will & testament
& James Grenestrete of Easelinge & Mathew Grenestrete of Easelinge overseers to whom I give tenne shillinges a peece for their labor

And I utterly revoke & disanull all other wills & Testaments heretofore by me made eyther in writinge or by word of mouth
In witnesse wherof I have hereunto set my hand & seale the day & yeare above written
