In the Name of God Amen the Sixt day of January Anno Dini 1666 [/67] and in the Eighteenth yeare of the Reigne of or Sovraigne Lord Charles the second by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland, King, defender of the Faith &c.
I John Greenstreete of Preston next Favrsham in the County of Kent gent[leman] beinge sicke and weake in body but of sound & perfect memory (thanks be therefore given to Allmighty God) doe Maker and Ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme Following
First I Comend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God that Gave it and my body to the Earth from whence it came to bee decently interred at the discrecon of my Executrix hereinafter named hoping & assuredly trusting that through the merritts & bloud of my deare Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ both body & soule shall meete together to partake of that blisse that hee hath prpared for his Saints in heaven forever And as for touching & concerning such worldly Goods as the Lord of his bounty hath Intrusted me with I give and bequeath the same in manner & forme Following

First I give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Amy those my two houses in Preston Streete in the Towne of Favrsham (one whereof the Widdow Pordage now dwelleth in & the other was late in the occupacon of the Widdow Amys To hold to her & her Assignes for & dureing her naturall lyfe,
and after her decease I give and bequeath the same to my Grandchild Thomas Greenstreet and to his heires for ever

Item my Will & minde is that my Executrix shall yearely pay unto my sayd Wyfe Amy One Annuity or yearely rent of Fifteene pounds of lawfull money of England for & dureing the terme of my said Wifes n[atu]rall life quarterly to bee paid the first paym[en]t thereof to beginne at the first of the fower usuall Feast dayes for payinge of Rent which shall happen next after my decease
Item my Will & minde is that my said Wife shall have & take all such household stuffe as did belonge to her when I marryed her

Item I give unto my Grandchild Matthew Greenstreete those my houses formerly one Tenem[en]t called the Bell in Preston aforesaid with thapprtenncs To hold to him the said Mathew & to his heires for ever
Item I give unto Christian Webb the Wife of Thomas Webb a thirty-shilling peece of Gold wch was her Uncle Windors
Item I give unto the Widd[ow] Powlter & the Widd Culmer Five shillings apeece

Item All the Rest & residue of all & singuler my goods & Chattells Lands Tenemts & hereditam[en]ts whatsoever & wheresoever not before by me bequeathed (my debts Legacyes and fuenrall Expences being first paid & discharged I give & bequeath the same unto my Daughter Anne Greenstreete widd whome I doe make full & sole Executrix of this my Last Will
And I doe hereby nominate & appointe Henry Greenstreet of Ospringe Yeoman & Thomas Greenstreete of Eastling Yeoman Overseers of this my Will to see the same punctually p’formed

And I doe hereby declare this p[rese]nte Writeinge to bee my last Will & Testamt hereby revokeinge all former Wills by me made
In Witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale the daye & yeare first above written

John Greenstreet married Amie Winsor 14 Apr 1642 at All Saints, Canterbury, Kent.
Amy Greenstreet, widow was buried at St. Mary of Charity, Faversham on 7 Oct 1680.
