I nominate and appoint my friends William Morum of Bromley aforesaid builder and Thomas How the younger of the same place watchmaker Executors of this my will
I give and bequeath the five Leasehold messuages and premises with the appurtenances situate in Farwig Place aforesaid and which I have lately built unto my wife Ann Grubb to hold to her my said wife and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life she and they keeping the same in good and tenantable repair and properly insurred from loss or damage by fire and subject to the payment of the rent and the performance of the Covenants mentioned and contained in the agreement for a lease under which I hold the same provided my said wife shall so long continue my widow
And from and after the decease of my said wife or next marriage I give and bequeath the
same leasehold messuages and premises unto my son William Alexander Grubb and my
other child or children I may have by my said wife to hold to them their executors
administrators and assigns equally as tenants in common share and share alike for and
during the residue and remainder of the term I have? therein subject nevertheless to the
payment of the rent and the performance of the covenants contained in the said agreement
and if but one child then I give the same to such one child his executors administrators
and assigns for and during the remainder of the said term subject as aforesaid
But in case my wife shall depart this life without leaving any such child or children or issue of such child or children her surviving or in the event of such child or children or issue thereof dying during the time she shall remain my widow then I give and bequeath the same Leasehold Messuages and premises unto my brother Edward Grubb of Bromley aforesaid his executors administrators and assigns for and during the remainder of the said term subject as aforesaid
And all the rest residue and remainder of my estate monies and securities for money Goods Chattels and Effects of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my said wife Ann Grubb her executors administrators and assigns for her own use and benefit
and hereby revoking all former wills by me made I declare this only to be my last will
and testament In Witness whereof I the said John Grubb the Testator have to this my will
contained in one sheet of paper set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty eighth day of
December one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine � John Grubb � signed sealed
published and declared by the said John Grubb the Testator as and for his last will and
Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other and
at his request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Proved at London 23rd June 1846 before the Worshipful James Parker Deane Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of William Morum One of the executors to whom admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer � power reserved of making the like grant to Thomas How the younger the other executor when he shall apply for the same.
