In the first place I give and devise unto my Nephew William Hammond Son of my Brother Thomas Hammond and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever All those my Four Severall Messuages or Tenements with the Buildings Gardens Backsides and Premises thereunto belonging with their and every of their Appurtenances situate lying and being in Tenterden aforesaid and now in the Severall Tenures or Occupations of Thomas Safery George Galley William Parton and Robert Smith or their Assigns And also all that my Messuage or Tenement wherein I now dwell situate in Tenterden aforesaid with all and singular the Buildings Lands and Premises thereunto belonging and in any wise Appertaining
And also I give and devise unto him the said William Hammond my Nephew and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that my Messuage or Tenement Buildings Farm Lands and Premises situate lying and being in East Guilford in the County of Sussex and now in the Tenure or Occupation of Samuel Stevens or his Assigns
Also I give and bequeath unto my loving Brother Samuel Hammond the sum of seven Guineas for to buy Mourning
Also I give and bequeath unto my loving Brother and Sister Thomas Hammond and Joanna his Wife to
each of them the sum of seven Guineas for Mourning
Also I give and bequeath unto my Nieces Mary and Elizabeth two of the Daughters of my late Brother Francis Hammond deceased the Summ of Two Pounds and Ten Shillings a Year apeice to be paid unto them by half Yearly Payments clear of all deductions and abatements whatsoever and to be paid unto them Yearly and every year by my Executor hereinafter named untill the children of my said Nieces Mary and Elizabeth shall attain to their full Ages of one and twenty years
And my Will and Mind and I do hereby order and direct that the said Yearly Summ of Two Pounds and Ten Shillings so to be paid unto each of my aforesaid Nieces Mary and Elizabeth shall be paid to them only without their Husbands intermeddling or having anything to do therewith and that the Receipt and Receipts of them the said Mary and Elizabeth shall from time to time be sufficient discharges for the same
And my further Will and Mind is and I do hereby give and bequeath unto the Children of my said Niece Mary the sum of Fifty Pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid and divided to and amongst them by my Executor hereinafter named within three months next after they shall have attained their full Age or Ages of one and twenty years
Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my aforesaid Niece Elizabeth the like Summ of Fifty Pounds of like lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid and divided to and amongst them by my Executor hereinafter named within three months next after they shall have attained their full Age or Ages of one and twenty years
Also I give and bequeath unto my aforesaid Niece Elizabeth Daughter of my said late Brother Francis Hammond deceased my Dun Coloured Silk Suit and a Suit of my Linnen answerable to it
Also I give and bequeath unto my Nieces Dorothy and Katherine the two other Daughters of my said late Brother Francis Hammond deceased the sum of Fifty Pounds of like lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto each of them respectively by my Executor hereinafter named within Six Months next after my decease
Also I give and bequeath unto my Neice Mary Farmer Widow Four pair of Flaxen sheets two pair of Pillow Coats six Flaxen Towells one dozen and a half of Huckleback Napkins two Flaxen Table Cloths four Callico Curtaines Six Silver Tea Spoons Markt E H and one new large Silver Spoon markt E H and my Mourning Ring and all my Wearing Apparell both Woollen and Linnen (except the suit of Silk and Suit of Linnen hereinbefore mentioned to be given to my Neice Elizabeth Daughter of my said Brother Francis Hammond)
Also I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Mary Dorothy and Richard the four Children of my said Neice Mary Farmer Widow the Sum of Ten Pounds apeice to be paid unto each and every one of them by my Executor hereinafter named within three months next after they shall severally attain their full Age or Ages of one and twenty Years
All the Rest and Residue of my Goods Chattells Bills Bonds Ready money and Personall Estate whatsoever (my Lawfull Debts Legacies and Funerall Expences being first paid and discharged) I give and bequeath unto my said Nephew William Hammond whom I do make ordain constitute and Appoint Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made Declaring this only to be my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Hammond the Testatrix have to this my last Will and
Testament sett my Hand and Seale the Thirteenth day of June in the Eleventh Year of
the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain
