In the Name of God Amen the Eight Daye of December in the yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord (Charles) by the grace of God of England Scotland Fraunce and Ireland Kinge Defender of the Fayth &c. the F... [first] Annoq Dini 1625
I Alexander Harte thelder of Chilham in the Countye of Kent Yeoman being in good (health) and of perfect memorye (thankes be to God therefore) Doe ordayne and make this my laste will and testament in maner and forme following
Firste and principallye I commend my soule into the Hands (of) Almighty God assuredlye trusting to be saved by the Death and merits of Jesus Christe
Item I Committ my bodye to the earth from whence it Came to be buried att the Discretion of my Executor heereafter name(d) Touching the Disposition of All my messuages, Lands, tenements, and hereditaments, goodds, Chattells and p[er]so.. (personal) estate whatsoever and wheresoever

Firste I give and bequeath unto my sonne Alexander Harte and his (heirs) and assignes for ever my howse and land with thapprtenanncs [the appurtenances] in Molashe in the sayde Cowntye of Kent (which was heeretfore Overyes)

Item I will and bequeath All my other messuages Lands tenements and hereditaments with thapprtenanncs in Molashe aforesayde to my sonnes Thomas Harte and William Harte and their severall heires and assignes for ever

Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Edmond Harte his heires and assignes for ever All my messuages Lands tenements and hereditaments with thapprtenanncs in Chilham aforesaide

Item I give and bequeath unto my sayde sonne Thomas Harte All the goodds and Chattells which are nowe in his possession
Item I give unto my sayde sonne William Harte All the goodds and Chattells which are in his possession
Item I give unto my sayde sonne Alexander Harte All the gooddes and Chattells which are in his possession

Item I give unto my sayde sonne Thomas Harte Twentye Shillings of Lawfull Englishe money to be payed unto him within one yeare next after my Decease
Item I give unto my sayde sonne William Harte Twentye Shillings of Lawfull Englishe money to be payed unto him within one yeare next after my Decease
Item I give unto my sayde sonne Alexander Harte Twentye Shillings of Lawfull Englishe money to be payed unto him within one yeare next after my Decease

All the Residue of my goods Chattells and p[er]sonall estate I will and bequeath unto my sayde sonne Edmond Harte whome I make sole executor of this my Laste will and testament

In Witnesse whereof I the sayde Alexander Harte have heereunto sett my hand and sealle Dated the Daye and yeare firste above written

There is no probatum with this Will (but 1628).

Notes:
Alexander Harte is buried at Chilham, Kent on 23rd January 1627.
Alexander Hart married Margeret Sexten on 1st July 1579 at St. Peter, Molash, Kent.
Children baptised: Peter & Thomas 30 July 1580; William 8 Sep 1583 – all at Molash; Alexander 14 Jul 1583 – at St. Mary, Eastwell; Edmond 27 Mar 1586; Alexander 12 Apr 1591 – both at Chilham.
