First I give and devise all that my Customary or Copyhold Messuage or tenement with the Garden stable barn and appurtenances thereunto belonging being heretofore part of a customary Messuage or tenement called Copthall in my own occupation situate lying and being at Westerham aforesaid and holden of the Manor of Westerham aforesaid which I have duly surrendered to the use of my Will unto John Whickman of Westerham aforesaid victualler his heirs and assigns for ever
Upon this condition nevertheless that he the said John Whickman his heirs and assigns shall and do permit and suffer Elizabeth Plumley of Westerham aforesaid spinster (who now lives with me) and her assigns to have the full and sole occupation enjoyment use benefit and disposal of my said customary or copyhold messuage or tenement garden stable barn and appurtenances for and during the term of her natural life she the said Elizabeth Plumley or her assigns keeping the same in good tenantable repair
Also I give and bequeath remit and forgive unto the said John Whickman his executors and administrators the Principal Sum of three hundred and fifty pounds in which he stands indebted to me together with all Interest thereof that shall be due at the time of my decease upon security of a Mortgage in fee of certain Messuages or tenements lands and premises commonly called or known by the name of Diggenshaw situate lying and being at Westerham aforesaid
And I do hereby order authorize and direct my Executors to deliver up to the said John Whickman his heirs or assigns all and singular the title deeds and writings and mortgage deeds of the said premises and Bond therewith given within one day after my decease or at any time afterwards at the request cost and charge of the said John Whickman his heirs or assigns reconvey and assure the said Messuage or tenements land and premises unto such person or persons and to such use or uses as the said John Whickman his heirs or assigns shall direct or appoint.
Also I give and bequeath the sum of one thousand pounds South Sea Old Annuities unto the said John Whickman George Fleming of Westerham aforesaid glazier and the above named Elizabeth Plumley spinster my Executors and executrix hereinafter named their Executors and administrators upon this special trust and confidence that the said Elizabeth Plumley shall have receive and enjoy the Dividends Interest and Profits thereof from time to time as the same shall become due and payable during her natural life to and for her own proper use and benefit
And from and immediately after the decease of the said Elizabeth Plumley I give and bequeath the said
sum of one thousand pounds South Sea Old Annuities as follows that is to say
the sum of five hundred pounds South Sea Old Annuities part of the said sum of one thousand pounds
South Sea Old Annuities unto the said John Whickman his executors and administrators
the sum of fifty pounds a piece South Sea Old Annuities other parts of the said sum of one thousand
pounds South Sea Old Annuities unto the six persons herein after named that is to say
my kinswoman Hannah the wife of Thomas Frame of Warlingham in the County of Surrey
my kinswoman Mary the wife of William Field of Sanderstead in the said County of Surrey
Sarah the daughter of the said William Field
Jane Smith the daughter of Isaac Smith late of Westerham aforesaid victualler
William Piggott of Westerham aforesaid Pruke Maker
and my kinsman Hartrup now or late of Kemsing in the County of Kent aforesaid Uncle of William
Hartrup hereinafter named and to their respective executors and administrators
the sum of one hundred pounds South Sea Old Annuities other part of the said sum of one thousand
pounds South Sea Old Annuities unto my kinsman ___ Hartrup of Chipsted in the said County of Kent
Father of William Hartrup hereinafter named his Executors and administrators
and the sum of one hundred pounds South Sea Old Annuities residue of the said sum of one thousand
pounds South Sea Old Annuities unto my kinsman James Dan of Loose in the said County of Kent Paper
Maker his executors and administrators
Also I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Smith spinster who now lives with me another daughter of the aforesaid Isaac Smith her executors and administrators the sum of fifty pounds South Sea Old Annuities
And whereas the sum of four hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities of one thousand seven hundred and sixty two part of such Bank Annuities standing in my name is the property of the said Elizabeth Plumley I hereby declare and acknowledge the same and do direct my said Executors and Executrix to transfer the said sum of four hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities unto the said Elizabeth Plumley her Executors or administrators within one month after my decease
Also I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities of one thousand seven hundred and sixty two unto my kinsman William Hartrup of Chipsted in the County of Kent aforesaid Carpenter his Executors and Administrators
Also I give and bequeath unto the said John Whickman and George Fleming my said Executors the sum of fifty pounds each four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities of one thousand seven hundred and sixty two for their care and trouble in the performance of this my Will
Also I give and bequeath the sum of two hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities of one thousand seven hundred and sixty two unto the said John Whickman George Fleming and Elizabeth Plumley my said Executors and Executrix their executors and administrators upon trust that they shall and do permit and suffer my kinsman Thomas Hartrup of Sevenoaks in the County of Kent aforesaid Glover to have receive and enjoy the Dividends Interest and profits thereof from time to time as the same shall become due and payable for and during the term of his natural life
and from and immediately after the decease of the said Thomas Hartrup upon further Trust that the said Elizabeth Plumley shall have receive and enjoy the dividends interest and profits thereof from time to time as the same shall become due and payable during her natural life
and after the decease of both of them the said Thomas Hartrup and Elizabeth Plumley I give and
bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities part of the said
sum of two hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities unto the said John Whickman his
executors and administrators
and the sum of one hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities residue of the said sum
of two hundred pounds four per cent consolidated Bank Annuities unto Bartholomew Jackson of
Cudham in the County of Kent aforesaid Farmer and Alice his wife their executors and administrators
Also I give and bequeath the reasonable use and enjoyment of all and singular my household goods plate linen and woollen unto the said Elizabeth Plumley for and during the term of her natural life without impeachment of waste and from and immediately after her decease I give and bequeath the same to the said John Whickman his executors and administrators
And concerning the premises herein before mentioned to be in mortgage to me securing of the sum of three hundred and fifty pounds and interest which I have herein and hereby given and bequeathed remitted and forgiven to the said John Whickman his executors and administrators and directed my heirs at law to reconvey and assure as aforesaid in case my said heirs at law or either of them who have a legacy or legacys in this my Will shall not at the request of the said John Whickman his heirs or assigns reconvey or assure the said Mortgaged premises as above directed I hereby revoke and make void the said legacy or legacies to him or them who shall not at the request of the said John Whickman his heirs or assigns reconvey and assure the said Mortgaged premises as aforesaid and in this case such legacy or legacies shall fall into and go with the residue of my Personal Estate hereinafter given and bequeathed
Also I give and bequeath to Isaac Smith son of the above mentioned Isaac Smith his executors and administrators the sum of ten pounds to be paid within six months after my decease
And as to the shop goods stock in trade and all the rest and residue of my personal Estate not herein before given and disposed of I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto the said Elizabeth Plumley her executors and administrators subject to the payment of the said legacy of ten pounds to the said Isaac Smith and also subject to the payment of my debts funeral expences and the charges of proving this my will
And I do nominate constitute and appoint the said John Whickman George Fleming and Elizabeth
Plumley Executors and Executrix of this my Will
And I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made
In Witness whereof I have set my hand to the three first sheets of this my last Will and Testament
contained in four sheets of paper and to this last sheet thereof my hand and seal the twentieth day of
