I give and devise all that my Messuage (now in three dwellings) with the Stables Outhouses Yards Gardens and being in Leeds aforesaid and now in the Several Tenures or occupation of myself, Richard Elliott and Thomas Pierson unto my Niece Elizabeth Bishop (the Wife of Robert Bishop of Maidstone in the said County of Kent Yeoman) her Heirs and Assigns for ever
Also I give and devise all that my Ozier Grounds * commonly called or known by the name of Gill with the appurtenances containing by Estimation two acres more or less lying and being in Hollingbourne in the said County and now in the Occupation of John Freeland unto my Great Nephew Edward Mason of Thurnham in the said County Laburer his Heirs and assigns for ever
Also I give and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Hadlow the Sum of Fifty pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain
Also I give and bequeath unto Simon Mason (the son of Edward Mason deceased) the Sum of Thirty pounds of like Money
Also I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Bensted the Wife of ____ Bensted of Linsted in the said County of Kent the sum of twenty pounds of like Money
Also I give and bequeath
unto my said Great Nephew Edward Mason,
to Susanna Reed the wife of ____ Reed of Ulcombe in the said County of Kent,
To Sarah Turner, Spinster (Daughter of Thomas Turner late of East Sutton in the said County of Kent, Yeoman deceased),
To Elizabeth Turner Spinster (another Daughter of the said Thomas Turner, deceased),
To Ann Button the Wife of William Button of Bromfield in the said County of Kent, Labourer,
To my Nephew Thomas Hadlow (Son of my Brother Richard Hadlow lately deceased),
To Catherine Cloak (the Wife of ____ Cloak),
To my Niece Ann Bingham (Wife of Job Bingham),
To my Nephew George Hadlow (Son of my said Brother Thomas Hadlow),
To my Niece Susanna (the wife of ____ Ralph of Farleigh late Susanna Hadlow),

To Elizabeth Elliott (the Wife of Richard Elliott of Thurnham in the said County, Labourer),
To Sarah Pierce of Maidstone aforesaid, Widow,
To Mary Oar (the Wife of John Oar of Langley in the said County of Kent, Labourer),
and to Mary Goodsole (the Wife of William Goodsole of East Farleigh in the said County of Kent, Labourer),
the Sum of Ten pounds a piece of like Money Which said Several Legacies I direct shall be paid by my Executors out of my Personal Estate
within Six Calendar Months next after my decease
Also I give and bequeath unto Robert Bishop (Son of the said Robert Bishop of Maidstone aforesaid) my Silver Pint Mug
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Bingham a Silver Table Spoon
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Elizabeth Bensted, Elizabeth Elliot the Wife of the said Richard Elliott, Sarah Pierce,
Mary Oar, Mary Goodsole and Elizabeth Elliott (daughter of the said Richard Elliott) a Gold Ring each
and which said Specific Legacies I do hereby direct shall be delivered by my Executors hereafter named to the said Several Legatees
as soon as conveniently may be after my decease
And from and after the payment of my just debts, Legacies and Funeral Expences, the Costs of Proving this my Will and other incidental charges I give and bequeath all the residue and remainder of my Monies, securities of Money, Household Goods, wearing apparel and all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto the said Elizabeth Elliott (Wife of the said Richard Elliott), Sarah Pierce, Mary Oar and Mary Goodsole to be equally divided between them share and share alike
And I do constitute and appoint Robert Saxby of Leeds aforesaid Gentleman and the said Simon
Rouse joint Executors of this my Will
And I do hereby declare that my said Executors shall not be answerable or accountable for any _______ More Money than they shall
actually receive nor for the loss of any Money except such as shall happen by their Wilful Defaults and that the one of them shall
not be answerable or accountable for the Acts Receipts and Defaults only and that it shall and may be
lawful for them my said Executors to reimburse themselves out of the Monies to be by them received
all such Expences as they shall Sustain or be put unto in and about the execution of this my will
And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said Mary Hartridge the Testatrix to this my last Will and
Testament contained in two Sheets of paper have set my hand and Seal (to wit) my hand to the first
Sheet hereof and my hand and seal to the Second and last Sheet hereof this twelfth day of August in
the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy eight

I Mary Hartridge of Leeds in the County of Kent Widow do declare this Paper Writing to be a Codicil to my last Will and Testament which bears date the twelfth day of August 1778
Whereas I have in and by my said Will given unto Mary Goodsole the Wife of William Goodsole of
East Farleigh in the said County Labourer ten pounds and a Gold Ring
and I have also given to her jointly with Elizabeth Elliott, Sarah Pierce and Mary Oar (after payment of my just
debts, Legacies, Funeral Expences, the Costs of Proving my said Will and other incidental charges) all
the rest and residue of my Monies, Securities for Money, Household Goods, Waring apparel
and all other my personal Estate and effects whatsoever
Now I do hereby revoke my said Will so Far as the same relates to the said Mary Goodsole and the
Legacies thereby given unto her
but I do hereby ratify and confirm my said Will in all other respects
And I do hereby give unto the said William Goodsole the Sum of ten pounds to be paid him in six months after my decease
And as to the Residue of my Personal Estate above mentioned to have been given unto the said Mary
Goodsole, Elizabeth Elliott, Sarah Pierce and Mary Oar, I give and dispose of the same as follows
I give and bequeath one Fourth part thereof unto Mr. Robert Saxby of Leeds In Trust for all and
every the Children of the said Mary Goodsole by the said William Goodsole and which are now
living with him to be from time to time paid and applied towards their Support and maintenance as
the said Robert Saxby shall think proper
and the remaining three Fourth parts I give unto the said Elizabeth Elliott, Sarah Pierce and Mary Oar equally share and share alike
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Seventh day of July in the Year of our Lord 1780

Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or
Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Robert
Saxby and Simon Rouse the Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted
of all and Singular the Goods Chattels an Credits of the deceased having first been Sworn duly to Administer
