In the name of God Amen I Roger Harvey of Folkestone in the County of Kent Fisherman being something weak of body but of sound and perfect Mind and Memory praised be therefore given unto Almighty God do make and ordain this my present last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following (that is to say)
First and principally I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the Merits Death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and Forgiveness of all my Sins and to inherit everlasting life and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named
and as touching the Dispostition of all such temporall Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth

First I will that all my Debts and Funerall Charges shall be paid and discharged
Item I give unto my daughter Anne the wife of Richard Wood the younger of the said towne of Folkestone Fisherman and my daughter Mary Harvey of the said Towne of Folkestone Singlewoman All that my Messuage or dwelling House now in the Occupation of John Arnett or his Assignes situate and being in the said Town of Folkestone and in a certain Street there called Eastbrook and butting North and East other Lands off Robert Baker and South unto the Lands of Henry Sharpy and West unto the Queens Street or Highway called Eastbrook Street aforesaid with the Garden or Backside and all and every the Appurtinences thereunto belonging
and also one Stable in the Occupation of George Badcock and situate in the said Street called Eastbrook withall and every the Appurtinences thereunto belonging
I give and devise the said House and Garden and Stable with all and every their Appurtinences unto my said two daughters to them and their Heirs forever

Item all that my Messuage or Tenement now in the Occupation of Thomas Squier or his Assignes situate and being in the said Town of Folkestone in a certain Street called Fishermans Row and butting East unto a Messuage of Leonard Minter Junr and west unto a Messuage of my brother Solomon Harvey and North unto the Queens Street or Highway and South unto the Stade or Sea with all and every the Appurtinences thereunto belonging I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary during the Terme of her Life
and after her decease I give and devise the same unto my two Sons Roger Harvey and Thomas Harvey to them and their Heirs forever

Item I give and devise unto my said two Sons Roger Harvey and Thomas Harvey all that my Share and part of two Houses undivided in the same street called Fishermans Row and now in the Occupation of my Mother Anne Harvey widow and my Son in Law Richard Wood Junr with the Appurtinences to them and their Heirs forever

Item I give moreover and devise unto my said two Sons Roger Harvey and Thomas Harvey all that my part or share of or in the Houses which are now in the Occupation of Henry Wellard Senr and John Dadd and all and every the Appurtinences thereunto belonging to them and their Heirs forever

Item I give and bequeath unto my said Son Roger Harvey three Farre and a half of Herring Nets and twenty Five Mackrill Nets and rope enough sufficient to shoot them with and one Sprat Net
Item I give unto my said Son Thomas Harvey three Farre and a half of Herring Nets and Five and Twenty Mackrill Nets and rope enough sufficient to shoot them with and one Sprat Net

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Alice Harvey the Sum of Twenty pounds which is out upon bond and in the Hands of John Bleshenden Gent and Ten pounds more which is upon bond and in the Hands of John Fearne Carpenter and Five pounds more of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid by my Executrix all which said three Sums are to be paid her in Six Callender Months after my decease

Item I give moreover and bequeath unto my said Son Roger Harvey All that my Quarter or Fourth part and share of a Fishing boat called the Endeavour of Folkestone with all and every the Appurtinences thereunto belonging
Item I give moreover and bequeath unto my said Son Thomas Harvey All that my Quarter or Fourth part and share of a Fishing boat called the Anne and Mary of Folkestone with all and every the Appurtinences thereunto belonging
Item I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary all that my third part and share in a Fishing boat called the Hasting Curr with all and every the Appurtinences thereunto

Item I give moreover and bequeath unto my daughter Alice Harvey one Silver Cup marked with A H and also one silver Spoone marked with A H
Item I give and bequeath unto my loving brother Solomon Harvey of the said Town of Folkestone Fisherman the Sum of Fourty shillings of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid him by my Executrix and desire my said brother to be Overseer to this my last Will and Testament

Also my Will and Mind is that in Case either of my said Two Sons Roger and Thomas shall depart this Life without Issue lawfully begotten that then the Survivour of them shall be Heir or Inheritour of these Legacies now given them and if both my said Sons shall depart this Life without such Issue then my Mind is that the said Legacies shall return unto my daughters Anne Mary and Alice to them and their Heirs for ever

All the rest and residue of my personal Estate goods and Chattells whatsoever I do give and bequeath unto my loving wife Mary whom I make my full and sole Executrix of This my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke disannul and make void all former Wills and Testament by me heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Roger Harvey to this my last Will and Testament being contained in three Sheets of paper have set my hand and Seal to the last Sheet thereof this Fifth day of April Anno Domini 1708 and in the Seventh Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Queen Ann over Great Britain France and Ireland Defender of the Faith etc Roger Harvey

Signed Sealed published and declared to be the last Will and Testament of the said Roger Harvey in the presence of us who also subscribed our Names in the presence of the Testator
