In the name of God Amen I Henrie Hatcher of the p[ar]ish of Ash next Sandwich in the Countie of Kent Yeoman Though sicke in bodie yett of sound & p[er]fett mind and memorie (praised be God therefore) doe make & declare this my will in writting this Seventh ... of Januarie in the Thirteenth yeare of the Raigne of our most Gratious Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God now King of England, etc. Anno Domini 1661 in manner following
Imprimis I give my Soule to God that gave it and as in to the hands of a faithfull Creator in full assurance through the alone merritts of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ to Injoy a far more happie & blessed life when this mortall life shalbe ended And my bodie to the Earth from whence it was first framed to be decentlie buried within the p[ar]ish Churchyard of Stourmouth by mine Executrix here after mentioned And as concerning my worldlie goods it is this

Item I give unto my daughter Katherine Hatcher one Bedsteadle & feather Bed which was her Grandmothers and with it two Blanket(s) one Coverlid one paire of sheets and t[w]o boulsters to be delivered unto her at the age of Twentie fower yeares or att her day of marriage which shall first & next happen after my decease
Item I give unto my daughter Katherine aforesaid fifty pownds of lawfull monie of England to be paid unto her within Twelve months next after my decease whensoever it shall happen

Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Hatcher my daughter the like some of fifty pownds of like lawfull monie of England to be paid unto her within Two yeares next after my decease whensoever it shall happen
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Hatcher the like some of fifty pownds of like lawfull monie of England to be paid unto her within five yeares next after my decease whensoever it shall happen
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett Hatcher the like some of fifty pownds of like lawfull monie of England to be paid unto her within Tenn yeares next after my decease whensoever it shall soe happen

Item I give and bequeath unto my son Samuell Hatcher All that my Messuage or Tenement barne orchard edifices & building and three acres one rod of Earable Lands lying together being in or att a certaine place called Scantton Close & two acres and a hale of Earrable Lands lying & being att or neere Santon [Scantton] and there appurtenences Scittuate lining [lying] and beeing In the pish of Prestone in the Countie of Kent, all which Messuage or Tenement Lands & pr[e]misses are now in the tennure and occupacon of Edward Baker or his assignes

And my mind and will is that my said Son Samuell shall have the said lands and premisses hereby bequeathed att the ends & Terme of Eleaven years next coming after my decease If he shall soe longe live and if it shall happen that Samuell my son shall departe this life without heires lawfullie begotten that then All that my said Messuage or Tenement Lands and prmisses before bequeathed shalbe equallie devided betweene my other two sons Thomas and Henerrie

Item I give and bequeath unto my said son Samuell Hatcher the some of Tenn pownds of Lawfull monie of England to be paid unto him att the end of eleaven yeares next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my son Hennerie Hatcher Six acres of marshland purchased of Will Gibbs Gent(leman) Scituate leing and being in Prestone aforesaid and att a certaine place there called Mannlie brookes and now in the occupacon of Edward Baker or his assignes To have and to hold the said six acres of marshland together with ther appurtennes unto the said Hennerie my Son and his heires for ever And the said Hennerie my Son to enter and Injoy the said land att the end and Terme of fowerteene yeares next after my decease when soever it shall happen

Item I give and bequeath unto my said son Hennerie the some of Twentie pownds of Lawfull monie of England to be paid unto him at the end of fowerteene yeares next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Hatcher All that my Messuag(e) or Tenement Edifices & buildings and Three acres of Earrable land be there more or lesse with the appurte[na]nces Scituat linig and beeing in the pish of Chislett in the Countie of Kent and att or neere a place there called Hoystead and Late in the Tenure & occupacon of Stephen Baulden or his assignes And the said Thomas my son to have enter uppon & Injoy the same att the end and terme of twelve yeares next coming after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my said son Thomas the some of one hundred pownds of Lawfull monie of England to be paid unto him att the end of twelve yeares next after my decease

And allso my mind and will is that if any of my said daughter(s) Katherine, Marie, Elizabeth and Margett shall happen to departe this life before they shall ataine to there severrall times of payment before expressed and die virgins, that then the said portion or portions of her or of them soe dying shalbe equallie devided betweene the other survivors of my aforesaid daughters then liveing

And Allso In like manner my mind and will is That if any of my said Sons Samuell, Thomas & Hennerie shall happen to departe this life before they shall ataine to there severall times of payment & entries and enjoyments of the severall lands before bequeathed and die without heires Lawfullie begotten then the other Survivors shall have the said portion of him soe dining [dying] equallie devided betweene my said sons, each to be (the) others heires to him or them soe dying

Item allso my mind and will is that my said sons Samuell, Thomas and Hennerie shall have each of them two ewe sheepe to have & Injoye them the Michaelmas next after my decease Allso the use of my goods stock Cropp moveable and p[er]sonall estate whatsoever and unmoveables

Item I give and bequeath unto Margett my loving wife whome I make and ordaine to be the sole executor or executrix of this my last will and Testament to pay my debts and Legacie(s) to make my funerall & to pay my funerall Expences and to her I give allsoe the revenues of all my aforesaid houses and lands for & towards the bringing up of my aforesaid Children in there Infancie and youth and allso to repaire & keep repaired the said Messuages or Tenements and houses and buildings untill such time and times as my said sons shall come to enter and to enioy the same as aforesaid

Item allso I nominate and Intend my welbeloved freinds Tho: Westbreech of Prestone aforesaid and Stephen Hatcher of Staple to bee the overseers for my Children of this my last will and Testament and for there paines and care herein I give unto my said frends each of them the some of six shillings & eighte pence to be paid unto them within Twelve months next after my decease

And I doe hereby make voyde & utterlie renounce and renole [revoke?] all other wills formerlie by me made and doe hereby accknowledge this to be the last will ever by mee made included in two sheetes of paper and no more
