I Peter Hayman of the Town and Borough of Deal in the County of Kent, yeoman, being in perfect health but mindful of my mortality do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)

First I give and devise all and singular my Freehold Messuages, Lands, Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever unto my loving Wife Mary Hayman and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural Life only
And from and immediately after her Decease I Give and Devise the same and every part of my said Freehold Estate unto my son Alexander Hayman his heirs and Assigns for ever

Also I give and bequeath unto my said Wife Mary Hayman (from and after payment of all my just Debts, funeral Expences and the Charges of proving and executing this my Will), All and singular my stock and Crop, Household Goods, Linnen and Household Furniture, Goods, Chattels, Effects and all other my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what kind or nature soever the same shall exist and be at the time of my Decease For her life and no longer
It being my Will and intention that my said Son Alexander Hayman shall have the same and every part thereof after her decease

And I do hereby give and bequeath the same and every part of my said Personal Estate (after the Death of my said Wife as aforesaid) unto my said Son Alexander Hayman his Executors Administrators and Assigns absolutely and for ever

And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said Son Alexander Hayman Executor of this my last Will and Testament
And Lastly I do revoke all my former Wills

In Witness whereof I the said Peter Hayman have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this Twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty two

Signed sealed Published and declared by the above named Peter Hayman the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses in his presence and in the presence of each other

The before Registered Will of Peter Hayman deceased was proved the 13th day of November 1776 before the Revd. John Tucker, Clerk, Surrogate to the Worshipful Andrew Coltee Duracel, Doctor of Laws, Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury, lawfully constituted by the oath of Alexander Hayman the Executor named in the said Will, he being first sworn well and truly to perform the same

Notes:
Peter Hayman senior, aged 86 from Deal was buried at St. Nicholas, Sholden, Kent on 5 Feb 1776.
Mary Hayman, Widow, aged 89, from Deal was buried at Sholden on 27 Sep 1778.
Peter Hayman married Mary Nickles 26 Sep 1714 at St. Mary the Virgin, Eastry, Kent.
Son Alexander James Hayman was baptised at Deal 5 Jan 1724, s. of Peter & Mary. He died at Deal in 1792.
