To be buried in the churchyard of Hernehill.
Item: to the high alter for tithes forgotten 8 pence.
Item: to the light of the holy cross 4 pence.
Item: to the light of St Michael 4 pence.
Item: to the light of our lady 4 pence.
Item: to the light of St Katherine 2 pence.
Item: to the light of St Christopher 4 pence also a piece of land called Sayernamme to be sold for the most profit and 6 shillings and 8 pence for the benefit of my soul and 6 shillings and 8 pence at my months mind, the rest for all Christian souls.

Item: to Alice my daughter 3 ewes called shots of a year old.
Item: also for St Michael�s light and the keeping of it a ewe and a shote of a year old.
Item: to John Legger my tawny coat

the residue I give to my wife Denise, which Denise and Robert Colbrand I make and ordain my executors, to Robert Colbrand for his efforts 3 shillings and 4 pence.

Item: My wife after my decease to have all my lands for the term of her life, if she remarry then she will have 2 years out of my lands and no more.
Item: I will that the profit of the lands shall keep the child that is in the mothers belly till it come to the age if it live.
All the rest of the profits for my soul and all Christian souls. If it die then that part of the profits for my soul and all Christian souls till my older children come to their lawful age.

Item: If the child is the mother�s bely is a man child then my son Richard and he shall have all my lands between them in equal portions when they come of age and they to pay Alice my daughter between them 4 marks.

Item: If the child in the mother�s bely is a woman child then Alice my daughter shall have a tenement called Hayllys which I bought late and my son Richard shall have my other lands paying to his other sister �10. If Alice or the one in the mother�s belly die then their part to my son Richard.

There is then a lengthy description as to how the estate is to be divided depending on which child lives or dies. If all die the money is to be used for the benefit of his soul and the church.

Item: to Eleanor Rauf shall have 20 shillings
Richard Goodhew shall be my supervisor
