In the Name of God Amen I Edward Henderson the elder of Maidstone in the County of Kent Victualler being weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding /praised be God/ Do Make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following /that is to say/

I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary Henderson all and singular my Personal Estate of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever the same shall be which I shall be possessed of interested in or intitled unto at the time of my Decease

And it is my will that if any of my Children shall (before they are capable of providing or making a livelihood for themselves) be in want and destitute of a Home that they shall be with my said Wife and cohabit with her till such time they can be provided for or are able to provide for themselves, and if they are of age and capable to provide for themselves, himself or herself, that then they shall not be an Incumbrance to my said Wife

And if my said Wife should find herself not able to carry on the Business without greater Capital, she shall dispose of the Effects and make Provision for my Son Edward during the Part of his Apprenticeship he shall have to serve, and if she can with Propriety carry on the Business she shall provide for my said Son Edward in the same Manner as I myself might do if living and if she should refuse so to do it shall be lawful for himself to claim right to so much of my Personal Estate as shall be a satisfaction for such time he shall have to serve

And at the decease of my said Wife the whole to be equally divided among all the children as well my wife�s as my own

I constitute and appoint my said Wife Mary Executrix and Mr. John Jones Grocer of Maidstone Executor of this my Will and I revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the twentieth day of March One thousand seven hundred and Eighty five.

This Will was proved by the oaths of Mary Henderson Widow and John Jones the Executors herein named To whom Admon &c was granted
