In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Hewson of the parish of Wickhambreux in the County of Kent Widow(er) and by Trade a Tailor being of perfect mind and memory make this my last Will and Testament.

First I give and bequeath to my said Children or their Heirs to be paid by my said Executor at the Expiration of Twelve Months and one day
First I Give and Bequeath to a Son and Daughter of my late Son Thomas Hewson or their Heirs the sum of Ten Pounds each
and to my Daughter Ann Seath or her Heirs the sum of Ten pounds
and to my Daughter Sar’h Holiday or her Heirs the sum of Ten pounds
and to my Daughter Mary Middleton or her Heirs the sum of Ten pounds

And as to all the rest and residue of my Personal Estate such as Moveables and Book Debts all the stock of Goods and Furniture and Fixtures that are in the Shop together with all my Household Furniture and Linen and Woollen and all my Wearing Apparel of all sorts both woollen and Linen and every thing that is my Property that shall be in my said Dwelling house after my decease
I do give and Bequeath to my Son Francis Hewson Whom I do herby constitute and appoint to be my whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this Seventeenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nine. Thomas Hewson

The before Registered Will of Thomas Hewson dec’d was provAnne ed the Thirteenth day of August 1810 before the Rev’d John Francis Clerk Surrogate to the Right Honorable Sir William Scott Knight Doctor of Laws Vicar General to his Grace Charles by Divine Providence Lord Archbishop of Canterbury Primate of all England and Metropolitan by the Oath of Francis Hewson the son and sole Executor named in the said Will He being first Sworn duly to perform the same.

Thomas Hewson married Elizabeth Larkin at Wickhambreux 2 Nov 1749. They had 8 children baptised from 1750 to 1767.
Thomas Hewson aged 88 was buried there 7 Mar 1810
Anne Hewson (bt.1755) married Robert Seath, ba of Deal 17 Oct 1782 Wickhambreux. Thomas Hewson & Francis Hewson were witnesses
Sarah Hewson (bt.1762) of Petham married John Hollowday of All Saints Canterbury, ba, by banns 24 Feb 1798 at Petham
Mary Hewson (bt.1764) married Lawrence Middleton, ba botp 17 Oct 1789 at Deal
