Imprimis I Give and Devise unto my son Richard Hobbs all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Garden Backside and Ground thereunto belonging with the Appurtenances situate lying and being in Elham aforesaid and now in the hands Tenure or Occupation of Richard Ladd or his Assigns to have and to hold the same unto my said son Richard Hobbs his Heirs and Assigns for ever.
ITEM I Give and Bequeath unto
my Daughter in Law Margaret Hobbs the Sum of Twenty Shillings of Good and
Lawfull Money of Great Britain.
ITEM I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Katherine the wife of Edward Atwells of Elham
aforesaid the sum of ffive Pounds of like Lawfull Money of Great Britain
ITEM I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Benjamin Hobbs the like Sum of five pounds of
Lawfull money of Great Britain
all which said Legacies I Direct shall be paid within Six Months next after my Decease
ITEM I Give and forgive my said Son Benjamin Hobbs all such Sum and Sums of Money as he
Shall owe and be Indebted unto me at the time of my Decease.
ITEM I Give and Bequeath unto my said Daughter
Katherine the Wife of the said Edward Atwells my Copper, my square Walnut
Tree Table and my green Bed with the curtains and furniture thereto
belonging as it now stands
and all the rest residue and remainder of my
Estate whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal that I shall be
possessed of at the time of my Death and not herein before disposed of I
Give Devise and Bequeath unto my said Son Richard Hobbs his Heirs Executors
and Administrators they paying out of the same all my just Debts Legacies
funeral expenses and the charges of proving this my last Will and Testament
and other incident charges and Lastly I make ordain constitute and appoint
my said son Richard Hobbs Sole Executor this my last Will and Testament
hereby Revoking all former will and wills by me heretofore at any time made
declaring this to be my last Will and Testament. IN WITNESS whereof I have
hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Twenty Day of November in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Six. Margaret Hobbs her mark
SIGNED sealed published and declared by the said Margaret Hobbs the Testator
as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have
hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses to the presence of the said
testator and in the presence of each other
