I Myhell Hodge of ye pyshe of Stapleherst w�tyn ye cowntye of Kente farmer beynge yn good & p�fytt memorye thankes be unto allmyghty god doe make & ordayne thys my p�sent last wyll & testament in maner & forme as followethe
Fyrst I bequeythe my sowle unto allmyghtye god ye creator of all thynge & my bodye to ye yearthe where yt shall please god

Itm fyrst I wyll & give unto Elyzabeathe my wyffe all my sole movable goods & cattells beynge yn ye p�yshe of Stapleherst or elswhere payyinge my detts & legacys whome I do make my sole extortryxe

Thys ys ye last wyll of me ye sayd Myhell Hodge confymyinge ye dysposysyon of all my seyde lands & tenements w�t all & synguler ther apportenancys lyyinge & beynge w�tyn ye p�yshe of Stapleherst & w�tyn ye p�yshe of Malden or ells where w�tyn ye cowntye of Kent

Itm fyrst I wyll that there shall be a p�sell of land solde beynge vij peses of ground called lambbes and lyynge uppon ye ein of wausyt lyynge & beynge yn ye p�yshes of Stapleherst & Marden to be sowlde by ye hands of Xpopher Vynye of Stapleherst & Thomas Hodge my brother
more over I wyll that one tenement & ij peses of ground called capsys? w�t all ye apportenansys therto belongeyne whyche of late was George Armors? & whyche shall all so be solde? by ye hands of Xpopher Vynye & Thomas Hodge aforesayd lyynge & beynge w�tyn ye p�yshe of Stapleherst uppon ye ein of Wansys
My verye wyll & mynd ys that ye lands afore namyd shall be sowlde to ye best valewe yte & ye monye therof shall cleare & dyscharge my lands whyche ar yne bondage & ye over pluses to remayne to Elyzabeathe my wyffe

Itm I do wyll & gyve unto Peter Hodge & Water Hodge my to sonnes one tenement w�t a barne & ij other owt howsyses w�t a gardyn & a close w�t all ye Resydewe of my lands unbequeythed w�t all & synguler ther apportenancys lyynge & beynge w�tyn ye p�yshe of Stapleherst w�tyn ye cowntye of Kent equalye to be devyded betwene them when theye shall com to ye age of xxj yeares

& yfe my wyffe be w�t chylde w�t a man chylde I wyll that he shall have hys part equallye w�t my other ij sonnes yn ye tenement & lands aforesayd at ye age of xxj yeres
& yff my wyffe be w�t chylde w�t a woman chylde I wyll that my ij sonnes Peter & Water shall gyve unto her at ye age of xxiij yeres or at ye day of her maryage ye som of x li [�10]

& yffe anye of my chyldren dyssease before they com to ther age aforesayd that ye one to be ye others ayer
& yffe all my chyldren dyssease before they com to ther age aforesayd that then I wyll & gyve ye sayd tenement & lands to all my brothers chyldren equallye to be devyded amonge them

& I wyll that Elyzabeathe my wyffe shall have all ye sole profytt of my sayd lands aforesayd bryngynge up my chyldren onestlye yn ye feare of god

& I do make Xpopher Vynye & Thomas Hodge my faythefull overseers to se all thyngs p�formed acordynge to my verye wyll & mynd
