In the name of God Amen The fifteenth day of July Anno dini 1639
I Thomas Hogben of the p[ar]ish of Wingham in the Diocesse of Canterbury Yeoman being sick in body but of p[er]fect memory (thankes be to God) do ordaine & make this my last will & Testament in manner & forme following (That is to say)
First I comend my soule into the hands of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ by whose onely merits and bloud shedding I beleeve verily to be saved and my body I bequeath to the ground from whence it was taken And for my temporall estate which God hath blessed me with in this world I dispose of in manner following

First I give unto my Three sonnes Thomas Hogbin, Michaell Hogbin & Edward Hogbin four shillings apiece to be payd unto them by my Executrix hereafter named within one yeare after my decease

Item I give unto Thomas Hogbin sonne of my daughter Elizabeth Hogben, a yong heifer now in Rumney Marsh, to be kept for him by my Executrix untill it shee may be put out for the profit of him the said said Thomas Hogbin

All the rest of my goods and Cattells unbequeathed, I give unto Mary Hogben my loving wife, whom I make sole executrix of this my last will & Testament

Note: Thomas Hogbin was buried at St. Mary the Virgin, Wingham, Kent, on 22nd September 1645.
