The last Will and testament Nuncupative of Raphe Homes late of the parish of St. George in the Cittie of Canterbury husbandman desiredly of his intention and declared in the time of a long lingering sickness whereof he wasted and at last died did about six weeks before hee died hee being in sound and perfect sense and memory in these or the like words and in the order and manner following that is to say

Hee being put in mynd of his imortality and by Stephen Edwards his neighbour had said to dispose of that which he had and to set his estate in order or to the effect that the said Raphe Homes hereunto answered and cheerfullie said my Wife shall have that which I have and shall here be said unto wye should have it else she hath taken great paines with mee and deserves it all if that were more and I will have nothing from her

which words were spoken with an testamentary expression as the hearers thereof witnessed? in the presence of the said Stephen Edwards and Anne his Wife and also of Maria Homes the said as above wife being all present with him the said Raphe Homes

Notes:
Ralph Homes married Mary Blackman 16th August 1637 at St. George the Martyr, Canterbury, Kent.
He was buried there 1st February 1645.
He could be the Ralphe, s. of Thomas, christened 11 Feb. 1593 at Westwell � no other unaccounted Ralph Holmes (sic) found.
No children of Ralph and Mary found.
