Notes:
8th June 1682. Thomas Holmes married Mary Bray �both of Whitstable� at St. Mary Breadman, Canterbury.
There are no children of this marriage.
From the Marriage Licence we learn he was a Widower � and it turns out, twice!:
5th June 1682 ML Thomas Holmes of Whitstable, seaman, widower and Mary Bray,
same parish, spinster, 22. William Ratcliffe of Westbere, husbandman, bonds.
Thomas Holmes had firstly married Mary Richeson at All Saints, Whitstable on 27th June 1664.
No children found of this marriage, either. This Mary died and is buried at All Saints on 8th October 1671.
Thomas Holmes secondly married 17th Jan 1674 to Mary Chillmore, Widow. Not exactly clear when this Mary died.
Thomas was buried at All Saints, Whitstable on 9th November 1683
