Will of Elizabeth Holmes

of Plumstead, Kent

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Holmes of the Parish of Plumstead in the County of Kent Widow Do make constitute and appoint this my last Will and Testament in Form and manner following Viz

First I give and bequeath unto my Executors hereafter named the Sum of One hundred pounds upon Trust
the one half of the said Sum to be applied in bringing up of Elizabeth Gravely Daughter of John Gravely
and the other half of the said Sum of One hundred pounds I give unto the said Elizabeth Gravely when she has attained the Age of twenty one Years

Next I give and bequeath unto my Niece Elizabeth Harley Daughter of George Harley hereafter named the Sum of fifty pounds to be paid her by my Executors when she has attained the Age of twenty one Years
I also give unto my loving Brother Richard Holmes the Sum of ten Shillings and Six pence One month after my decease

Next I give and bequeath unto George Harley aforesaid And the Rest of his Children lawfully begotten of the Body of Elizabeth Harley all the Rest and Residue of my Effects Notes Bills Dues and Demands whatsoever and wheresoever to be equally divided between them Share and Share alike when the said Children shall have attained the Age of twenty one Years
But the said George Harley shall have the said Share paid to him by the said Executors within One Year and One day after my decease

Lastly I nominate and appoint my worthy Friends Wm Brookes of Boston and William Hallick of the Parish of Plumstead both in the said County of Kent Joint Executors of this my Will

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Seventh day of June One thousand Seven hundred and seventy seven E Holmes
