In the Name of God Amen the eleven and twentieth Day of August in the fourer and fourteenth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereign Lady Elizabeth by the Grace of God of England France and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith.
I NICHOLAS HOMEWOOD of the Parish of Ringwold in the County of Kent Yeoman being sicke and weake in body but of sound and perfect memory doe make and constitute this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following.
First I comend and comitt my soule into the Hands of God my saviour redeemer and comforter being fullie assured and persuaded to be saved by the Meanes and Meritts of Jesus Christ only and after my decease my will is for my corpse to be buried att the discretion of my Executor and touching my worldly goods that the Lord hath bestowed upon me I bequeath them in sorte and manner following.

Impris: I bequeath to JOHN HOMEWOOD my third sonne the sume of one hundred pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto him when he cometh to the age of fourer and twentie yeares.
Item: I give unto NICHOLAS HOMEWOOD my fourth sonne the sume of fiftie pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto him when he cometh to the age of fourer and twenty years.
Item: I give unto JAMES HOMEWOOD my youngest sonne the sume of three score pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto him when he cometh to the full age of fourer and twenty yeares.

Item: I give unto SARAH HOMEWOOD my second daughter the sume of fourtye pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto her when she cometh to the full age of twenty yeares or att her Day of her Marriage whether of them shall first happen.
Item: I give unto MARY HOMEWOOD my third daughter the sume of fourtye pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto her when she cometh to the full age of twenty yeares or att her Day of her Marriage whether of them shall first happen.
Item: I give unto ELISABETH HOMEWOOD my fourth daughter the sume of fourtye pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid when she cometh to the full age of twenty yeares or att her Day of Marriage whether shall first happen.
Item: I bequeath unto HELLEN HOMEWOOD my youngest daughter the sume of fourtye pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid when she cometh to her full age of twenty yeares or att her Day of Marriage whether of them shall first happen.

Provided if any of my sonnes or daughters aforesaid shall depart this life before the time wherein they should receive theire severall portions by me to them bequeathed that then the portion of him or her so bequeathed shall remaine and be to my Executrix.

And all the rest of my goods and chattells not before bequeathed I give unto HELLEN HOMEWOOD my wife whom I make and ordaine the sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.

Also I appoint my brother in law HENRY STEED of Dover and my son in law JAMES JEKIN of Oxney the Overseers of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have putte my hande NICHOLAS HOMEWOOD his marke. This Will and Testament of NICHOLAS HOMEWOOD made and published in the presence of us whose names are underwritten.
