This is the last Will and Testament of RICHARD INGE Clerk and Vicar of Petham in ye Countie of Kent being of perfect memorye.
First I resigne my soule unto Almightie God my Maker hoping to bee saved through ye Death and passion of my Blessed Saviour Jesus Christ desiring to be dist __sed and be with him _____if be __all.
Item: If I dye in Petham my boddy may be layd in the Churchyard and neare to the corpse of my loving Mother as may convenientlye bee.

Item: I will all my debts to be paid to which end I give my Wife all my forkes.
I give unto ANNE my Wife all my household stuffe the plate excepted which I thus dispose
to THOMAS INGE my Sonne three spoons and a cup of which two spoons were given him by his Witnesses at his baptism
Item: My guilded salt to MARY my Daughter and one spoon of silver.
Item: Unto FRANCES INGE my Daughter six spoons which of five were given her by her Witnesses in baptism.
Item: Unto VINCENT INGE my Sonne a small wine bowl of silver and three spoons whereof two which given him by his Witnesses at his baptism.
Item: Unto BRIDGET INGE my Daughter two silver spoons.
All which foresaid spoons shalbe divided and distributed according to the discrecion of my Wife. Those aforesaid which were given by the Witnesses in Baptism.

Item: I give and bequeath unto ANNE my beloved Wife the lease of which I hold of the Cathedral Church of Canterburie during her Widowhood towards her maintenance of her children but yf she marrys this to be withdrawn. If she shall marry again then my loving Cousen VINCENT BRINTHE? ______________ whome I only make and constitute my Executor of this my last Will and Testament shall dispose of the assets to ye use of my children.

In Witness RICHARD INGE

By the way of Codicile I doe resume unto MARY INGE and will shee should enjoy a paire of sheetes one tableclothe and a dozen of napkins being given her by her grandmother BRIDGET INGE. By the same way also I give unto her five pillowcoattes.

And in Witness of this my Will and Codicil I have hereunto sett my Hand and Seale.
