In the Name of God Amen I John Ingrams of Hidehill in the Parish of Sundridge in the County of Kent Shopkeeper being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say
I will order and direct that all my just debts funeral expences and the expences of the Probate of this my Will be paid and discharged by my Executrix and Executor hereinafter named

and I give devise and bequeath unto my loving Wife Sarah Ingrams all and singular my messuages Tenements lands and premises whatsoever and wheresoever of what nature or kind soever with all the appurtenances thereto respectively belonging also together with all my household Goods stock in trade Chattels and effects and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever to have and to hold all my said real and personal to her my said Wife Sarah Ingrams and to her assigns for and during the term of her natural life

and from and immediately after her decease I give and devise unto my Son John Ingrams of Croydon in the County of Surry Carpenter and John Mitchel of Tonbridge in the County of Kent aforesaid Shopkeeper all my messuage or Tenement Garden and premises with the appurtenances situate at Hidehill in the Parish of Sundridge aforesaid and in my own Occupation and also all my messuages or Tenements lands and premises with the appurtenances situate at Broxham Pound in the Parishes of Edenbridge and Chiddingstone or one of them and in the said County of Kent to hold to them my said Son John Ingrams and the said John Mitchel upon trust nevertheless for the intent and purpose hereafter mentioned that is to say

upon trust to permit and suffer my said Son John Ingrams and his assigns to take and receive the rents issues and profits thereof to and for his own use and benefit during the term of his natural life and to and for no other intent or purpose

and from and immediately after the decease of my said Son John Ingrams I give and devise all my that messuage or Tenement Garden and premises with the appurtenances hereinbefore described situate at Hidehill and in my own Occupation unto my Grandson John Ingrams of Croydon in the County of Surry afored Carpenter to hold to him my said Grandson John Ingrams his heirs and assigns for ever

also from and immediately after the decease of my said Son John Ingrams I give and devise all my that messuage or Tenements lands and premises with the appurtenances hereinbefore described situate at Broxham Pound in the Parishes of Edenbridge and Chiddingstone aforesaid or one of them tomy Granddaughter Mary Homewod Wife of William Homewood of Hever in the said County of Kent miller to hold to her my said Granddaughter Mary Homewood her heirs and assigns for ever

and also from and immediately after the decease of my said Wife Sarah Ingrams I give and bequeath unto my said Son John Ingrams all those my leasehold messuages or Tenements with the Gardens and Leases by which I hold the same and all the appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging situate at Whistlow Green in the Parish of Brastead in the County of Kent aforesaid together with all my household Goods stock in trade Chattels and effects and all my personal estate which shall be and remain at the decease of my said Wife and after the payment of all her just debts and funeral expences to hold the said Leasehold with the appurtenances and other personal estate to my said Son John Ingrams his executors administrators and assigns for ever

and I do nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife Sarah Ingrams and my said Son John Ingrams joint Executrix and Executor of this my said Will and do revoke and make void all and every other Will by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I have to this my said Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand to the first and to this last my hand and seal the eighth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three John Ingrams
