In the Name of God Amen I Katherine Ives of Bexley in the County of Kent Widow being in pretty good health of Body and of sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding Praised be God and considering the uncertainty of this present transitory Life Do make and Declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say
First and Principally I commend my Soul to Almighty God its Creator and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executrix herein after named and as for such Worldly Estate as it hath or shall please Almighty God to bless me with I give and Dispose thereof in manner following

I give and bequeath unto Mrs Ann Salmon Wife of Rowland Salmon of the Bank of England Gentleman All my Wearing Apparel of every sort and kind

And all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Estate Goods Chattles and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever which at the Time of my Decease I shall be possessed of Interested in or in any Ways intitled unto my just Debts Funeral Charges and Expences and the Charges of proving this my Will and all other incident Charges and Expences being thereout first paid satisfied and Discharged
I give and bequeath unto my loving Son John Barber now in the East Indies

But in Case it should so happen that he my said Son shall be deceased in my Life time Then and in that Case I give and bequeath all the said Rest Residue and Remainder of my said Estate Goods Chattles and Effects so by me given and bequeathed to him my said Son John Barber as aforesaid unto her the said Ann Salmon Wife of the said Rowland Salmon

and I appoint the said Ann Salmon Wife of the said Rowland Salmon sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made and I do Declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Catherine Ives the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twelfth day of April in the eleventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth And in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy one Katherine Ives Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Katherine Ives the Testatrix to be her last Will and Testament in the Presence of us
